From going to one shop to another, one is expensive, ok/ other hidden and a bit scaly, one very close that almost never have stock to this new place I have found, they sell by gram. Not prepacked little packs. You go, select your poison and amount, they weigh it out and package it for you

Thanks for the advice so far. Harvested a big amount. Thought to make cannabutter and freeze it. I'll have about 18months worth, maybe even 2 years. Need to store it in the form with the longest shelf life. What is the shelf life of dried and cured buds?
Make your canna butter with an oil rather, Olive oil works great or there's plenty others to choose from and then refrigerate it just to be careful. It'll definitely last 2yrs refrigerated.

What weed varieties or types will give a lower level high but one which you stay on that level for an extended time?

If you smoke just a little bit of strong weed, ie not get too high, it spikes at the required lower level and then plummets so becomes pointless.

Anyone know places to get THC vape juice?
whatever you are thinking... dont go down this road. you will only meet disapppointment.

Rather get a dynavap and just vape dry herbs

Edit: if you are willing to pay the school fees. EE, Cannasutra and 420m stock. But dont bother going there.

My dried/cured homegrow buds I store in sealed glass containers with Boveda (62%) packs.
I currently have 2 year old bud (Northern Lights) stored like this - I vaped some the other day and I'd say it's still at about 90% of it's original strength.

I highly recommend you look into CBD rich strains - Harlequin being my personal favourite.
These have the "feeling less high, but for an extended duration" you are looking for, at least in my experience.

Also, as @ShloshMalosh mentioned, you can always get a dry herb vapourizer - Pax, Davinci IQ, etc.
They may be a bit pricey up front, but dry herb vaping has been found a more efficient delivery method for cannabis than smoking.
Vape juice will have a higher concentration of THC (by far), but you would usually use way more flower to get to that level than if you vaped the dry herb - so the cost is higher.

I have a Dynavap, it's a winner.
Who sells Harlequin and generally how much is it a gram?
What other strains are similar that I can look out for?

Mustafa Selasie usually has Harlequin in stock, otherwise IntHerb (their details should be somewhere in the last few pages of this thread). Here it's fairly cheap, if you're willing to buy bulk - around R700-R900 for 25g.

Other CBD strains include Harle-Tsu, Cannatonic, Charlotte's Web, AC/DC, Critical Mass, and many more - you can google it, there are many nowadays, but our local availability is a bit lacking.

Many of these are also almost "pure CBD" strains, meaning they're unlikely to get you "high". This is why I stick with Harlequin, which has a nice balance (depending on phenotype) of THC and CBD - it gets you high, but in a nice mellow way.

Someone else in this thread also mentioned using the "pure CBD" strains and mixing them with regular non-CBD strains to achieve the same effect - you could give that a try if you do end up finding some pure CBD strains and want to still get a buzz going :)

Got some goodies along with some Feco from a local in Durban I'll leave a review after I've tried them (if I don't end up in hospital again)

Thats coconut oil cannabutter...
Coconut oil cannabutter can be frozen with no issues and no perceptable potency loss for at least 4 months (as long as you aren't bringing the temp up and refreezing. Coconut oil is slightly antibacterial so it can probably freeze for longer if your process is super clean (plant matter is a vector for going bad so the better you can strain it before you pack and freeze the better for shelf life). Ito of olive oil I saw mentioned, in my experience you'll want to NOT use extra virgin or cold pressed as they also tend to have more adulteration and more vectors for going off. I like using coconut oil but I have never had to freeze a batch of cannabutter longer than 4 months. If you're keen on using an oil that's liquid at room temp, I would say go cheaper and blander than olive oil like, canola, peanut, sunflower etc. They will have to be stored in dark containers as light will degrade the oil and THC content over time. Olive oils shelf life without degradation (for the extra virgin stuff) is between 1 and 2 years dependent on process. I haven't tried it yet but i think the longest shelf life you're likely to get is to make rosin or hash and freeze it with the minimum (preferably zero) air or water around it. My back of napkin calcs lead me to believe that a vacuum packed block of hash or rosin could have easily more than a year storage value with negligible loss of potency and possibly even 2 years. But my stash never lasts that long, maybe when I get my grow sorted.

So I got some free weed if anyone is interested. Just a couple nugs each of three strains. For collection only in pta north. Send me a pm for details and arrangements

www.420buds.co.za . They have a reasonable wide range and actual images for their product also their greenhouse is like other dispensaries indoor and hydro strains. Some pineapple express I ordered from them last month.
Looks good, but those prices....
These guys will have to come way down with their prices if they want to be competitive.
