The Division

It seems that's the only way for me to do it as well... But I ordered a R200 PSN voucher via Raru and I'm still waiting for it to arrive.
I have contacted PS4 tech support about the issue and they apparently know about it, but no ETA on when it will be fixed - the 'support' for PS4 really is awful.

Was thinking of ordering one on Raru as well but I at Blue Route in anycase.

Never had issues with PSN support btw. Hope it gets sorted out dude.

Just a quick question, any one playing the game solo? How u finding it? Thinking of getting this game but I don't have time for a team etc. Read somewhere once u get lvl 30 solo it becomes much harder(maybe impossible to carry on alone)?

I am playing alone just .... because i want to go at it at this stage alone as I have weird hours to play sometimes, and i am on level 25 going 26 only now.

So yes you can play solo on the single player maps, you can even go at it alone in the DZ but you can also just team up with other agents in the Solo and DZ section of the game.

Everybody recommends that you at least get to level 30 in the SOLO before attempting the DZ side.

I was bored last night so I went in the DZ and I got my Ars3 handed to me in the first few minutes.

So rather complete the solo and gear up before attempting the DZ side.

On a other note,

1. Is there no other PS4 okes here to play with except "Sk3tz0r" (By the way I have send you a request last night)
2. Where the hell am I suppose to get good weapons and gear at this stage. My prim AR is about 20k and Sniper is about 19k but the level 25 and 29's are kicking my Ars3 if they gang up.

Do you guys just pick up blue prints and craft weapons or actually buying weapons from vendors and is there vendors that normally have better stuff than others? (Meaning in the higher level areas than the lower areas or is it a mixup?)

Been playing solo almost the whole time due to only getting time here or there for a few minutes to play and never really know for how long either. Currently on level 26 and been enjoying it a lot. Tried the Darkzone at level 15 odd and it was fun but its to hard at the moment so going to wait till I am level 30.

Even while playing solo you can easily join up with others through matchmaking and leave at anytime. So it is quite open to how you want to play.

Send me your username I am also around level 26/27 on ps4.

I have the same problem with gearing at the moment. Bought a purple weapon at around 20 but I don't feel it was worth it to be honest. If there is something worth crafting I craft otherwise just running around leveling and hoping for good drops.

I also play around with the rerolling of my items to either HP or Firearms depending on the rest of my gear to stay more balanced.

PS4: Koevoet-77

So far all my weapons I have is crafted from blueprints I got from missions or side missions, but I am at this stage that I dont have the fire power to do the other missions or side missions.

Been going solo, occasionally team up with randoms and try hard difficulty. Only on level 14 though.

Dz is fun, managed to get a few good extractions, killed a few guys as well.

Add me - PSN is the same as MyBB handle. I typically do the daily missions and the challenge missions (I am staying away from challenge mode in Russian Consulate as it is tough as nails when you do not have the right team composition). If you want high-end gear, it is best to do the Lincoln Tunnel Challenge mode - the most difficult part is really just the beginning where they rush you, every other part is easy (in the tunnel part when the bomb is defused, one player should stay outside on top and the others at the entrance, and you do not get rushed - that much).

I found that rolling gear with scavenging has produced the best loot drops for me (I currently have 150% scavenging) - normally a lot of purple across challenge and hard mode and plenty of high-end material drops when opening chests.

Some things I picked up on PS4 (I believe that playing on PC is horrible with many cheaters around):
- Do not join challenge mode with randoms - you stand a good chance that they kick you before killing the boss so that they can invite their friends. I only do challenge mode when I am the leader (just go to the mission, set your privacy to public, then run into the mission area, then run back out and do match-making once the game says "promoted to leader")
- Unlock the scavenging trait and roll scavenging gear - this will help you greatly in the DZ with purple drops
- Don't run DZ solo (although you can, it is just difficult - especially in the lvl 32 map) - matchmaking is really easy and I normally run with a full group
- On PS4 I hardly ever run into rogues or get killed by other players - there are some true a**holes, but when that happens, I just change maps as they will continue killing you. It hardly makes sense to go rogue and kill other players - I never found it appealing.
- I hate the DZ extraction points - some friendlies will deliberately run into your bullets to make you rogue so that their friends can then murder you.
- Watch your stash: I had it over the weekend where my stash was full and I had 2 high-end in my current inventory and could not extract. I made some other player happy by waving at him, then shooting him in the face so that he could kill me and loot my high-ends (he was super stoked and we are now sometimes running DZ).

I am DZ level 40 now and I saw that the DZ level 50 blueprints are good. I have been lucky with loot drops as I have most good high-end weapons (Midas, AK, can't remember the name of the pistol). The only crafting I do is for the mods. I managed to get a 85% additional ammo + 38% crit damage for the Midas and would love to get more mods to up the crit damage. I don't think it is possible to get good mod-drops and you will probably have more luck crafting it.

My bad, I wasn't on much over the long weekend :o

You should start looting purples from 25 onwards. These will have 1 additional 'attribute' over blues, or 1 additional talent on weapons.

Ideally you'd want to focus as much as you can on Stamina while leveling. Firearms will only increase your weapon damage and Electronics will increase the strength of your skills

Do you guys just pick up blue prints and craft weapons or actually buying weapons from vendors and is there vendors that normally have better stuff than others? (Meaning in the higher level areas than the lower areas or is it a mixup?)

While leveling crafting isn't really worth it, as a bare minimum, I'd check out the crafting vendor, craft any direct upgrades over my currently equipped gear then mission around to each of the safe houses (as their loot differs at each safe house) and possibly buy further upgrades

Each vendor in each safe house will eventually sell one purple item each day (below is a very easy way to find exactly which upgrades you want) - these purples are tied to your level, you could buy a level 25 item, then when you hit 26, purchase the 26 version :p

These purples can be viewed here under Superior Gear

I can for example, take the Rapid Assault Mask available from the BoO, and recalibrate the XP into Crit Chance for more damage

Just a note, scavenging only seems to affect crafting materials/DivTech. This was confirmed in the State of the Game stream yesterday

The only DZ Blueprint I'd want are the HE gloves but after being stuck on DZR35 for the past week, I'm officially over the DZ

I almost have a pattern now. Login, do the 2 Hard missions (this can either be solo or in a group) for phoenix credits, then contemplate my existence as I look at the Challenging mission. Pending how far I get with the Challenge mode, I'll then head into the Dark Zone.

What I would say, is that if you're running solo with mostly purple gear, hover in DZ01 - 03. You could go higher, but if you're looking to level rather than obtain gear, you (even me) are most efficient in these zones. Over the course of the long weekend, I went from DZ rank 25 to 35. Your only real slowdown is being ganked by rogues, which happened to me (and the group I'd play in) on a few occasions. I'm not sure whether it slows down a lot at 35, but it felt like I was progressing fairly steadily through the levels?

What I DO wish, is that they'd lower the "barrier of entry" and allow some High End BP's to be available from DZR30, some at 40 and the rest at 50, instead of all at 50.

It's still the same incremental XP requirements, in the 40s you'll need 30k per level. Total from 1 to 50 is something like 650k XP

If I die to DZ mobs, that's fine take levels off my progress, but when players can bait and harass you (walking in front of your fire, diving into your grenades in between the enemies) I get a very sour taste in my mouth and my motivation ends

IMO Rogues need the XP penalty, they want to chance their luck by rolling the dice on a player's loot, they must be the ones losing levels of XP

I will eventually complete the DZR50 grind. Leveling another character is just higher than the grind on my priority list

Same here. I am not sure where Division will go. I have done all side-missions, picked up all intel and done all missions and I have done almost all the Uplay achievements (killing 20 rogues is going to be tough - when I ran across them I get ganked and I am not going to camp out in DZ01 to gank Acid0 for the achievement ).

All my gear is high-end (far from perfect statroll though) and I only miss a decent high-end marskman and shotgun. The mods need a ton of work, but that is just luck of the game (either loot drops, crafting or vendors). I guess once I am at DZ50 I will probably be bored with Division. The DZ is not appealing for me as a PVP style game - the balance of players is just not right and the game likes variety in PVP styles - it is all about farming gear or ganking low-level players.

Over the weekend I watched the below and I am glad that I am not on PC - it must be extremely soul-crushing for DZ players on PC when you have this:

Take a look at the Super M90 shotgun blueprint in the TechWing PxC vendor

Marksman Rifle options:

Police MK220 (TechWing)

Tenebrae (DZ06 Vendor)

Neither of these are bolt-action though :(

Agreed, DZR50 is my last goal as well. I fully understand the DZ is not supposed to be a solo activity, but as you said, the balance isn't right. A good suggestion was lump the Rank 30-Rank 50 guys into their own bracket and the everyone who's >50 into their own bracket

Rogues in groups are starting to cause issues (read exploiting) now. Oh a team member went rogue? That's fine, the rest of the group can still buff/heal the rogue without themselves going rogue
