The Division

They should really fix that PcX limit of 1k. I bought all sorts of useless crap which I will never use. Since yesterday I am back at 1K and nothing to use it for. I wish they could at least allow us to buy matts or allow us to re-roll stats.

I also found that the whole DPS calculation is wrong on so many levels. My M1A had 160K DPS and after I found that a headshot would do only 60K, I re-geared and the M1A has now 120K DPS, but headshot is 90K. A true joke (not sure if this is only on PS4). Another issue I found over the weekend is that if I mod my secondary or any gear where I have +firearms/+crit etc, my primary DPS drops in display until I re-equip.

They are fixing thr pcx limit in 1.2 I believe

Yes, 1.2 will increase the limit from 1000 to 2000

UI
In the Overview of the Inventory, the Health stat above Stamina has been replaced with Toughness. This is a combination of Health and Armor. The player’s health pool will still be visible in the Character page and Stamina still increases Health.
The Phoenix credit cap has been increased from 1000 to 2000 credits.
Shooting a player while they are interacting with an object will cause the timer to push back. (such as opening a supply crate or hijacking an extraction)
Players now have a voice chat indicator in the game UI to see if their own VOIP works.
The Special Gear Vendor has been renamed Special Equipment Vendor.

So it will be two weeks until I have to buy stuff I don't need :-(. The should really think of making PcX available as a currency in the DZ? Why earn PcX in the DZ if you can only use it outside of the DZ?

I only have about 680 pxc but listening to you guys what is the use eventually getting the coins, you already bought everything that you want anyway.

They should really rethink that to add new stuff worthwhile of purchasing.

At this stage I only farm in DZ for new stuff.

I still cant craft a decent sentry or striker mask for me every time it is worse than the one I have equipped.

My question would be why can't the items you've extracted from the DZ be sold for DZ Creds? :(

True. I am always short on DZ credits. Instead of salvaging items I have started to periodically sell stuff (especially named weapons as those go for 50-70K a pop). Any decent gear in the DZ goes upwards of 200DZ credits and based on my play-style it takes me a good two weeks to get there.

I only play DZ for ranking up the DZ level (now at 78) - the drops even in DZ06 are horrible - just unusable gear- and weapon-mods. All weapons and gear is always 163 with a few exceptions of 182 and all of it has such a horrible roll that it is not worth it. Strangely enough I picked up only striker- and sentry GS in the DZ (all 191 and horrible rolls) and have never come across a Nomad GS despite having done a good 30-50 supply drops (disappointingly out of those I got 1 GS and the other GS dropped at the boss at entrance DZ06 and the other surprisingly dropped at a boss close to extraction in DZ02).

So I have a 5.8gb update patch for the PS4, hope its worth the download.

I played some last night and I really like the PVE content changes. The HVT adds some more life to the PVE maps - by the looks of it for the tougher HVT targets you need to group up - not quite sure how matchmaking will work there (TBH - I have not looked or tried).

I did the DZ6 and those level34 mobs are no joke. Despite my GS of 206 and armor mitigation of a good 60% (and protection from elites etc) doing the boss at Midtown Music was certainly no walk in the park - even with my 85K health, one shot dropped me to one health-bar. The flamethrowsers (the boss on the left checkpoint at DZ6) now melts you like you just landed on the sun. The extraction zone in DZ6 (on the roof) got us all killed as 4 levl34 rushers came from all sides and two-shotted us. The loot drop was good though - several 204 and I swapped my M1A (had 35K base DMG and 130K DPS) with a better roll (39K base and 157K DPS). All the other drops were garbage.

I would be very surprised if many rogues roam DZ6 as the enemy damage is way too high for them to kill other players. Will only be able to look at everything in detail on the weekend (by which time I will probably regret having missed out on all the glitches).

Seeing that you are on PS4 - can you confirm if your "mark for trash" works? I click the left stick and it does not mark, so I have to individually trash items - what a pain.

BTW - this is what the Pit looks like in real life - https://imgur.com/a/2ZidR - forgot about all the details and how accurate it is in the game. I guess the next time I am in NYC, I will probably roll into cover and then throw a grenade (read = Starbucks cup) into the Pit, then a Pulse and Overheal before I Leeroy Jenkins into it....

After seeing this I went looking for our NY office branch on Google Maps but got side tracked, I noticed one of the landmarks from ingame...and promptly ended up trailing off to Bryant Park, along the DZ to the Russian Consulate and down round to Madison past Lexington :D

The environment in game is phenomenally well done - there are streets missing however :(

and Brooklyn :)

I used to stay close to BoO - a post office close to Madison Square. Many of the sights in game bring back good memories when we stayed in NYC. For the life of me, I can not remember that Rockefeller Centre (= The Pit) had all those shops in the lower plaza.

One question: is it worth the R430 (g2a)... I have been following this game for a while now and it looks awesome but still not sure if I'm willing to fork out 500 on this game, it has so many bad reviews and ****ty scores. It feels like the expensive games I buy are always the ones I play the least but then I don't want to wait for it to loose its player-base.

edit: lol I know this is a random post in the middle of the thread

Entirely subjective - I play on PS4 (which has not had the huge influx of hackers the PC version has suffered from - I'm not saying they aren't on the PS4 version at all, I've just not run into them)

Going off money spent/time spent

I paid R1500 for the game + season pass

I've spent 15 days across both characters (guesstimate because I'm still downloading 1.2 :o) ~ 360 hours

1500/360 = The Divison has worked out to a R4.16 per hour of entertainment

Xmen Apocalypse ~ 2h23min (or 2.5hrs roughly) @ R62 a ticket works out to R24.8 per hour of entertainment

Try and find reviews of the game post-1.2

Thanks appreciated. Lastly, if I do decide to buy, would you say the season pass is a must? Dont mind paying the extra bucks if its worth it

I got my season pass with my pre-order. The Season Pass (R600 when I paid for it) entails 3 'expansions' that we have yet to see anything on

https://cdn.division.zone/uploads/2016/03/tc-the-division-year-one-content-roadmap.jpg

In line with that road map, Conflict was released on Tuesday - this was the last free content update that was marketed (no others have been mentioned between DLC1 or 2)

Dont mind paying the extra bucks if its worth it

I would not recommend buying a season pass at this moment in time... I've been kicking myself for falling for pre-order hype

My reason for this is as follows;

The devs seem passionate about the game but only time will tell. At launch the end game consisted of 4 Story Missions on a 'challenging' difficulty and a 2nd xp grind in the form of DarkZone (player vs player vs environment section of the game world) Ranks

The first free content update (1.1) caused chaos with the playerbase (if Steam's active players per day counters are to be trusted)

The second free content update (1.2) has been far more positively received! Even more gear sets to acquire opening up more ways to customize your character

A lot of players expected more right from the start... slowly but surely, 1.2 has brought content back to the open world you would have explored while leveling to provide content for max level characters

If The Division appeals to you as an Open Modern World RPG (focus on tactical gameplay/heavily utilizing the cover system) with matchmaking Lobby elements for group content, definitely pick it up the base game which includes 1.1 and 1.2 and then only consider the season pass :)
