The Division

Hooked up with a great random team last night (PS4). We did all the daily HTVs and almost all the weekly HVTs before I realised it was almost 12h00. Got a tonne of drops, mostly useless Lone Star and useless weapons. I was however able to swop out my shotgun and sidearm for better ones.

I love my current build, running three Tactician's Authority, two Final Measure and a Nomad. Looking forward to the release of Underground so I can get higher/better gear and weapons.

BLIND and Firecrest gear sets are for underground what Lone Star is for HVT. You'll soon be swimming in the stuff. Atleast lone star 4p bonus was usefull. BLIND has no decent set bonusses and Firecrest 3p 100% reloading is about as good as it gets for that set.

I've only gone as far as Hard mode with 3 directives up so not sure if it gets any better at higher levels. I can't seem to find any decent info on loot tables for underground.

Weapon Upgrades is a bit better.

Currently running 4 Firecrest, 2 Apha Bridge. Trying to change that to 4p Alpha 2p Striker or Sentry, but seems like i'll have to craft these other pieces. Keeping all my weapons to see what will work best with the 4p Alpha set bonus.

The drop rate on chest pieces seems extremely low in Underground & HVT's so that basically dictates which way I go with my gear sets since the only Chest piece I've gotten so far is an Alpha bridge.

Currently running Underground Hard mode, but mostly crappy 214 gear set pieces. Swimming in Firecrest and Lone star gear.

Had decent group the other night and we made light work of about 3 hardmodes (3 handicaps up). My GS was around 200, the other were all round 230-240. The leader switched it up to challenging and we wiped at the fist set of NPC's. The jump is just insane.

Not sure were to get the gear for Challenging modes as I've yet only seen 1 x 240gs piece drop in underground hardmodes so far. At low 200gs the DZ 200-230 is undoable for me solo, not sure how it'll be in a group.

*Playing on Xbox One

Add me, I'm a casual player though

I am on PS4 but my thinking is along the road that if I can get a good team one night I can actually farm nice stuff in that category of the 200+Gs

But yes I reckon that I should maybe downgrade my GS to actually be in the better easier section of DZ.

*From what I read DZ sub 200 bracket DZ05-DZ06 and DZ 200-230 bracket DZ01-DZ02 both has lvl 32 NPC's with similar loot tables. (204 Weaps & 214/240 gear sets). It might be worth trying to get into the sub 200 bracket since DZ05-DZ06 is normally less populated by rogues etc.

I was running sub 200 in DZ01-04 and if your gear score is in the 190's your not gong to get any upgrades with the exception of Supply drops. Not bad for farming xp and DZ cash from the cache's tough.

*This was post patch 1.2 not sure if this has changed since patch 1.3

Got 4 piece Dead Eye this weekend, really enjoying the 4 piece bonus. If you use a Marksman out of scope (just normal shoulder, blind or hip fire) it 100% crits any place on the target.

Running with a M1A marksman and it's working really well. My DPS in my inventory shows about 100k, but I reckon it's a lot more than that. I hit for about 80k-160k per shot depending wether pulse is up or not. M1A rate of fire is 300 RPM so 5 per second. Realistically I thing you can get about 3 shots per sec if you spam the trigger.

My M1A is only 183 gs so I'm looking for an upgrate and mods with more crit damage.

Only problem is ammo. Normally I carry about 100 rounds of Marksman ammo and that runs our really fast, so I'm running with the 2 piece lone star for the ammo capacity boost.

I am really not to concerned about DZ level or cash actually as the DZ level does nothing for you, maybe just makes you look like a plonker if you stalk the DZ 1 side and kill all loners that is in battle. (Rogues have killed the DZ for me at this stage) and funds I cant buy anything that is worth the while.

So Ia m more keen to get better gear and I hear that the underground does have some nifty gear but its not open for us yet :(

So I am doing HVT, but once you have done them and you hook up you dont get any drops.
Incursion is frustrating as most people leave in the middle of the battle.

So yeah maybe I need to team up with a decent bunch for the DZ as I play mostly alone in DZ.

There are a few blueprints for weap mods and gear mods that might be worth farming xp and cash for, but compared to how frustrating the DZ can be "worth it" is debatable. :D

Underground is real fun and you'll get plenty of loot, but as I said in previous a post it's heavily weighted towards Firecrest and BLIND gear sets the same as HVT seems to be weighted towards Lone Star gear.

I've tried incursions with matchmaking, but so far it's been a disaster. It seems like it requires a real coordinated effort that I don't think you'll get from PUG's especially if most are not using comms.

This is obviously anecdotal, but my best DZ experiences has been early mornings (Sat/Sun). It seems the more friendly guys are up early with the griefers and gankers still sleeping after a night of one shot sticky bombs and shooting people in the back. :p

Will have a look again, maybe I will lower my GS to actually fall in the bottom range as I am now at 226Gs.
I have bulked up on health but had to trade it for weapon DPS that I am not to happy about but, I just died to quickly.

I must agree the early mornings is the best I think its due the different time frames we play with the east europe guys

Jeezuz! How does one do Falcon Lost?

Tried a second time around and didn't even get past wave one when everyone started dropping out and was left alone. Tried doing it alone but gave up after a while.

Today’s The Division patch makes Underground loot more interesting

The Division servers are currently down for maintenance. When they come back online, a couple of big changes will have been made.

Ubisoft detailed the changes being implemented, and they should make weapon and gear collectors very happy. The Underground Operation Directives rewards will now include all gear sets from update 1.1 and 1.2. You also have a chance at getting more loot when you finish Operations with over four Directives.

Underground Sealed Caches have also had their loot table expanded to include all weapon types and all Underground and update 1.3 gear sets.

In the video above, Alex explains what these changes mean for players, and why they’re big news for diversifying the loot and the gear/weapon drops, especially for hardcore players who are have been mostly getting repeats.

So a ran 3 undergrounds last night and my drops were 1 BLIND, 1 Firecrest, 1 Reclaimer. It's obviously not the biggest sample size and could just be my bad luck with RNG, but have yet to see any Sentry or Striker. In one of my groups someone said he picked up a Striker piece though.

Will check out more tonight.

What level?

What level?

They were all on hard mode with a variety of directives up. Iirc I ran two with 1 directive up and the last one with 3 up. I'm lvl 22 so don't have access to 4 directives yet. All were single phase.

The board says that you only get weapons if you run with 2 directives up so didn't try that out.

The gear set items came from the "quest reward" saw only Highend's (gear and weaps) drop from the named NPC's and the final loot crate.

It's was all 214 gear, but I've had 240 gs items drop from hard mode underground, pre patch. That was firecrest only though.
