The Droid TV thread

@heartbroken: That keyboard should work fine - I have a Rii mini which I was using until I changed over to the T2. An air mouse will be a lot easier to operate though as you will probably need to drag across the touch pad while depressing the left mouse button to swipe left/right/up/down through Netflix movie menus. On an air mouse you just depress the OK button and swish it through the air.

I also came across a somatosensory (Wii type) air hockey game which works with the T2 air mouse that I thought some of the new T2 owners might like to try. I haven't been able to get any of the six games in this video to work yet but the air hockey game is very similar.

I have not been able to get this Play Store version to load on the MXIII but you can get an idea of how it works from the pics. I will post a link later today.

Yotch, did you get my PM?

Aaaah, I see what you mean, the trackpad is going to be a pain in the arse. Sigh...

Now I have to order another MXQ\MXIII, can't go paying R40 delivery for only a mouse

@Icemanbrfc: Many thanks for the link. I am always interested in these type of services. It sounds familiar but I will test tonight and report back. Keep an eye out for the Black Friday specials - you may be able to pick up a cheap wireless mouse or keyboard from Esquire etc.

@heartbroken: Just try the mini keyboard so that you know exactly what is going to suit you best. The T2 air mouse is very well designed for single handed operation but it doesn't have a keyboard. I actually have both the T2 and my Rii connected to my MXIII through a cheap hub. I don't need to turn on the Rii very often though.

I'm sure that you may start to see the benefits of only having Netflix in SD very soon! In order to get Netflix certification (HD access) the machine has to meet certain requirements which make it difficult to install XBMC and the the Play Store etc. Many of the Roku models (Streaming Stick etc.) actually use the same BCM2835 as the RPi but the platform is so locked down that you are unable to load XBMC which runs on the RPi.

Please do report back Yotch. :)

Tried working with it now and it kinda sucks, will order an air mouse sometime soon. I like your idea of using both, I still have a powered hub around here somewhere.
