Hmm, that is a strange one. Can you try setting the resolution to 720p?

If any of the MXQ owners want to change the graphics hardware settings, you can go Settings > Other > More Settings > About MediaBox > Build Number - Click 7 times on the Build Number and this should unlock the Developer Options. Go back to the More Settings page and open the new Developer Options menu above About MediaBox .You can try to change the Hardware Accelerated Rendering Settings to see if this helps with either the random black screens or Netflix. Just keep a note of the original settings so that you can replace them.
No response from the MXQ again to the remote. Jaque anyway now to get a replacement remote and see what happens? I'm hoping it's more the remote than the box
Yes it is. I'm literally a few feet away from the box. Just froze on me again while in developer options.Yo Ice ... How far are you from the box and also is it line of sight in terms of where the remote is handled?
Thanks will remember, but right now I need to force shutdown again. 5th time now lol@Icemanbrfc: Need to shut down using Power > Exit in XBMC.

No Idea JV. I'll wait to hear what Jaque says, and hopefully he can hook me up with a replacement remote. However, it works, then won't work again. Hahaha. I'm cool, it's electronics, they don't always work. We accept thatMight seem that it freezes but it might be the remote guy![]()

Hi Yotch, thanks for all the replies. Yes it flashes purple through the camera@Icemanbrfc: Can you look at the remote through a cell phone camera? If the IR signal is being sent the LED should appear purple in the camera.
