picked up 1 yesterday, seems ok, doesnt come with any appz preloaded?? No DSTV Now, No Netflix, No Kodi.

Showmax is on though, thats it.

Remote good, no keyboard..Pity!!

Have to sideload methinks.

Also another point, loaded and installed Netflix, from Google play and it refused to work, had to dload older Netflix APK from netflix homepage. Then it worked?? I thought that the android version 7.1.2 is the latest latest?

Don't know if this is the right place to ask:

On my Mibox, Kodi just randomly stops playing the video file (whether streaming or from external hdd) between 12 - 1 pm and 6 - 7 pm each day.
I have since also installed SPMC running identical add-ons etc and it works fine.

I can't find the problem in Kodi.
Any ideas?

Just for anyone who has the same problem - it seems ES File Explorer caused the above issue. Someone mentioned it in some website I found after numerous googling. Uninstalled ES and so far so good.

Yeah. I used IBVPN and when I connect to say Canada, the netflix app loads but when I try to watch something, there is an error message . This happens on windows, my android phone. Is there a trick I am missing?

What I do not understand here is why you rely on box-builders to load software (apps), is it not within your ability to load the apps from the playstore?

If not, then I would say lodge a complaint, as it is false advertising. If you can, please report back... and here I am not saying you should side-load, but try natively... If you can not load because of DSTV blocking your device, use apkpure "https://apkpure.com/dstv-now/com.dstvmobile.android"

MiBox comes with Netflix preinstalled, there's no DStv now android TV app so you Will have to sideload the normal apk

Get a Air rather, the MiBox has a really cool remote but the non supported apps always require a click or mouse to either start a stream or to expand the window with is pretty frustrating too.

So once you've sideloaded an app, can you get it on the homescreen, or only under downloaded apps?

Nothing specific, I don’t have the Air Mouse per say but rather the standard Full Keyboard with Trackpad (Rii).

You need another application to make it visible on the home page, currently can’t remember what I use it was mentioned a few places back but I can also check at home.

Anyone encounters poor wifi signal? I use the box near my router which is in the living room and works find but moved it yesterday to my room and very poor speed or not good wifi signal. Maybe a cheap wifi extender could help?
