The Error Code 619 thread

Yip, sounds about the same. Different hardware, but same symptoms.

The thing is, with all the swopping around on different PCs and with different cards, the only common thing has been the PC. Unfortunately I don't have many other PCs to test with, as the other guys are out in the field.

Don't know about windows update. On the PCs that are giving problems there haven't been any major system changes, so I wouldn't say it was that (in my case at least).

Maybe try this

Hi

Normally a 619 error means the handshake is not be in done properly either on the network end or the client side. On network side the apn may not exist on account or on client side the apn(credentials) may not be passed on properly.

Crumppet: While the card is inserted, goto control panel, phones and modems, modems and check that there are no 3g/gprs modems not present - if there are some there, remove them. Then on the the Dashboard software, create a new profile and replace your current APN profile. Try that.

B@ndit : check your initialisation string in modem properties and make sure it's what its supposed to be.

Hope that helps.

I'm confident that the Error 619 is network related on the internetvpn APN. I can only connect on internet APN. I have verified this on 2 Novatel cards and 2 stand-alone GPRS modules. I had to once again change my field GPRS units from internetvpn to internet for them to connect to GPRS.

This problem manifests itself on both 3G and GPRS. This morning I was still connected on 3G. When I disconnected to test, the connected were refused with Error 619.

I'm in the Vanderbijlpark / Sasolburg Area.

Please try to use the internet APN and check if the Error 619 is still occuring.

Error 619 3G data card

Hello

Yesterday evening I removed the 3G data card while the "dashboard"? was still operating - today I try to connect and I get a number 619 error - also Windows has a utility below which allows me to stop the device - this is not normally there - I have once before had something like this - I think? - and I had to copy .inf files - something was corrupt - please could someone advise - thank you - Matty

Maybe your system thinks that it's already running and doesn't wan't to allow it to connect because it's active atm

then you should restart or uninstall and install drivers over again?

The internet APN works fine. It's when I switch it to our company's APN that it refuses to connect.

Some of the computers I have checked do actually connect to the company APN, but the problem comes is that only a couple of them don't connect.

What I'm trying to find is what comes into play when connecting to another APN, other than internet, and why this problem only occurs on certain PCs when the setup looks exactly the same.

try this pls

try this pls. on affected pc's, close dashboard software, goto control panel, phones and modems, modems, and look at the properties of the fusion modem. Got to advanced tab and look at initialisation string in there.

Should look like - AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","(your private apn)";

Create a manual dialup to this modem with number as *99# - username and password is as supplied to you. Dial.

can you now connect?

I get this error when i've connected successfully and get dropped for some reason more than 2 times. [i.e. i connect, online for a few mins, loose connection, reconnect, loose connection again, then on 3rd time i get error 619]. A reboot usually fixes it.

So my guess is as someone said, some port is not closed correctly when you are "kicked" from the network involuntarily. So PC/Software thinks the device is still active/online.

Anybody still experiencing the Error 619?

I can once again use both internet and internetvpn APN.

Let's have some feedback.

Liposuck2004 , where they on the correct network? Did they do a manual network selection , or select a 3g only or gprs only profile?

Hey all,

I've been getting 619's for the last month now.
A fresh installation of 3G software, biometrics included, still didn't solve it.
My last resorts is to reload PC and/or try a different PC.
If that doesn't work, then it would have to be the card or on network's side.

Generally error 619 is a coverage problem, from what I can see , it seems that the card sees the network , but the network does not see the card. It is a difficult one, however sometimes if you move to a different corner , it makes the connection.. Also hope you not in Centurion area?

Make sure that the VPN service is activated on your line... If the internet APN works, and the internetVPN gives errors at some stages it might be your data line that is not correctly configured.

082155 - 0 and wait for about 21 minutes for a consultant (chargeable call)

Ja grubsner, I'm now on as well. Incredibly stupid error, I was misspelling the APN name. However, on the computer I found the mistake on, I typed in the APN name correctly and it still gave 619. Turns out that specific SIM was the only one not provisioned for data transfer on our APN.

Talk about a series of irritating coincidences.

Thanks to everyone for all the input.
