The Getz Thread

My Getz at 200K, no surprises here.
did want to ask a question from those that owned cars like this before,
firstly, oil light does not come on as a test on ACC, used to come on, but now doesn't, is that a sign of something? burned bulb?

and secondly, Temp light, only the Red overheat light comes on, but the Getz has a blue cool one as well, never seen this come on, or is it disabled or something here? as other Getz get both and the blue goes off eventually when the engine is warm,
never seen it with mine (2010)

as an aside, found this lurking on the interwebs, just goes to show you how tough these little cars are,
sounds awesome straight piped, but yeah in the middle of Oz land people do strange stuff.

but if it survives that, it will probably be okay dealing with potholes and taxis

I moered through a very bad road while test driving it for exactly that reason, wanna hear if the thing can handle it. I was satisfied with the amount of shaking and rattling.

Also floored it while flipping the turbo button on and off. I was satisfied with that result as well.

My guy is a slow driver anyway. Cool, calm and collected on the road.

LMFAO. I took him for a spin in my M2 a couple of years ago; he nearly shat himself. Same result when I took him in the Raptor.
Never knew the oke can cuss like that. His face turned a few shades lighter brown.

I mean I took my Getz off road when I got lost between lanigsberg and Zoar here in the western cape,
overtaking Hilux and Rangers on completely dirt roads, didn't believe this little car could do it,

and with the amount of them on the roads, people hang on to them if they are easy to fix, reliable, well equipped,

the true successor of the Tazz,

and what is always cool, is how SUV like it is, park it next to a Tazz,
and see how much higher it is, its like they force feeding us this idea of SUV's, in a very subtle way,

I think overseas you could get a Getz cross, with roof rails and body cladding to sell the idea even more,
but you only really notice it when you park next to a citi golf or Tazz.
