Then you are going to need to chop out the adhesive, and then leave the wall to dry for as long as absolutely possible.
You may need to do a similar thing on the other side of the wall as well to be sure to get rid of any of the damp problems.

I would still use a water proofing admixture in the new plaster though, just as a safety measure.
Yea, I will ad some kind of waterproofing to the plaster. The wall is dry tho, we haven't used the shower in about 2 years.

Quick question: was at Leroy Merlin to get a replacement analogue pool timer. Saw the CBI Astute smart controller WiFi timers and they seem to have a 30A resistive and 10A inductive load rating - would these units work to replace an analogue pool pump timer, load wise?

From what I remember in school (many moons ago), a pool motor would be inductive, right, so the 10A should be fine?
I've had my pool pump running on a 10A sonnof wifi switch for about 2 years now without an issue.

I’m running exactly those CBI controllers on my pool and geyser. Modded of course. Just be aware that you’ll need WiFi coverage at your pool in order for that controller to work, else it would be pretty pointless

Many thanks! Yes, have wifi coverage, so should be OK. What did you mod to? Trying to read up about the units still.

As you'll likely see in the thread @Tinuva linked, it's not for the faint of heart. You don't have to go that route to get it functional of course - it's more important to make sure you have coverage so that you can program the timers in the unit. WARNING: Going this route WILL take you down a deep, deep rabbit hole :)

So I have just pressure washed all my paving bricks (hired a petrol pressure washer)
Amazing the color change after. Removed a fair amount of moss and weeds and years of use, but also a lot of sand, so definitely need to resand it all.

I see online they speak about kiln dried sand, but I don’t think you get that here in ZA.
I assume that I can get something at Builders.

What sand should I be buying?

A fine sand like Philippi mixed with some cement

What is the easiest method of welding for home use? MIG or TIG. I want to try my hand at welding but not sure where to start looking.

Stick is the best way to learn, also stick welders are cheap and you can easily find a good second hand one on gumtree for little moneys

Show me a better weld anywhere in the world
