btw i use borehole water as well so could be why it goes so dirty
Any filtering on it? If not you should consider some basic filtering. Blows my mind how many people do no filtering on borehole water.

i fill my tank and then add alum powder

it has a small blueish filter thing connected to the tap so i pump the water through the filter into the pool

Might save you in the long run though. People spend more on a POS Zodiac pool cleaner only for it to break after 6 months...

i have one lol the mx8 elite

the spares are madness but bought at game so if it breaks will return it

but i paid R1800 also brand new so had to take it

You need something that reduce the pressure of the pump. Generally you plug that in on the end of the pipe where it plugs into the side hole. It works by sucking in some water outside of the pipe. Then the cleaner has less power and thus will probably fall down before it reaches the top. You will need to tune it for your pump.

Do a test and post it here, hold the strip next to the container.

What is happening in your pool is the algae just keeps on blooming. You can swim in the water, wont do anything except maybe stain lighter coloured swimming clothes.

Ensure levels are correct. Backwash, rinse and put pump on filter. Add hth sparkle it ( white ) cube in weir. Add 6 cups of chlorine and switch pump on for 12hours. After 12 hours add another 6 cups of chlorine and keep pump on filter for another 12 hours.

Backwash and rinse again for 1min each, add 3 cups of chlorine and continue with normal pump hours.

You need to ensure the algae is dead dead otherwise you are just going to go in circles and ask the same question every week.
