You are just adding things for the sake of adding it and hoping it works out..Morning all
So I have tried adding alkalinity up and put about 4 cups
I added a cup of hth as choline was right
I also added 1 pack shock it last night and ran the pump over night
It's not changing colour
Last night also whne I put the pump on a thick cloud of dust blew out the blower thing
What is that and what am I doing wrong View attachment 1247226
Please, take the water to be tested at a reputable pool shop.....You are just adding things for the sake of adding it and hoping it works out..
Jy kak die pot mis, meneer..
Before you do anything else to the pool, take a sample of pool water to your nearest reputable pool shop and have them test it.. based on the test results, they will provide you with the right products and provide you detailed instructions of which product to add first, the right quantity of each product and at the right intervals.. while you are there, ask for a home test kit, so you can test the water weekly and maintain it accordingly..
one of the pool people i had come out before told me this
5l of pool acid, and 8 cups of hth granules tonight
isnt that too much ?

Yeah, pretty sure I told you weeks ago already to go to a pool shop to get the water tested.. yet, here you are still struggling with the pool water.. perfect pools in Glengarry will test the water for free and make sure you know the volume of water your pool holds, as that determines the test as well as hoe much of whatever product is going to be needed to fix it..i have the test kit and thats why im adding lol
that strip says add alkilinity
i been to builders but they not so clued up
need to rather go to a pool shop
i been to builders to test but ya hey my fault also i didnt run the pool enough to see what happens now im stuck lol
Yes, they charge R65 and were pretty useless.. go to perfect pools in Glengarry.. water test is free and they provide actual good advice.. they said my pool would be swim ready in two days from my visit if I followed the instructions and they were 100% spot on..
Lol my pool look like that if my PH is too high.
Also sounds like @Iam.Sam needs to replace the sand in the filter or didn't backwash enough. I had that same sand gushing out problem. Said screw it and just replaced all the sand. Issue gone.
PS, If the PH is too high, then chlorine doesn't work. As in, the green stuff will grow when there lekker warm sun.
2min for both based on how long it took me to get clear water on the backwash. Rinse is just however long the backwash is.there is leka warm sun in CPT
how long do you backwash for
i was told 1mn and rinse for 1min
BTW, if you really lazy get a poolsense.there is leka warm sun in CPT

This is my pool and I didn't do anything for weeks. Need water top up and some acid to lower pH.
Also pump only ran like 2 hours a day
