Hugely delayed response, yes I do have those in the one shower in my house, they're perfectly fine to stand on and I honestly have never "sealed" them, but then I have had to regrout a few sections over the years.

Thanks TB :)

I divorced mine, but back then she also wanted a lot of **** done that I have never gotten around to. It was kak ideas anyway. I have a feeling I am more nitty gritty and full of **** when it comes to the detail work anyway.

Like they are busy painting my house now and I checked the fsckers started off laying splash sheets and towards the end, they left it. I make them clean every speck of paint they mess with the pointed end of a Stanley blade around the whole house. Fsck em. I am yet to do a full inspection, keep putting it off as I know how vol kak I am.

As an aside story. I am getting ready to change the color of this wall. Make it like a feature wall. Will post after pics soon.

I'm looking at the SANS regulations but for the life of me I can't find purlin specs. Is it just considered to be a standard at 76 x 50 at max 1200 c/c?
Application is IBR sheeting and I already got the rest of the span/rafter/sizings/spacings etc. from the regs.

Next random observation, how do you guys not absolutely lose your rag with your SO's during renovations?

Redoing the one bathroom now, and I'm ready to kill my SO because everything must happen all at once with zero thought given to any proper ordering of work.
This is why I don't talk to her

What can I paint the inside of my braai with? It was painted black with something but over time it became faded and looks k@k now. Can I just use normal black paint?

mines look the same ,I'm going to paint with heat resistant paint.
1lt should do, the same paint used for fireplaces I would think ...dnt want chemicals like normal paint flaking in my braai...

So annoyed with myself.

My one gas hob was giving off a really low flame on all the burners. Not wanting to screw around with it I got someone out to look at it, R495 to check out everything.

Turns out it's just the damn regulator that stopped working. I told him not to replace I'll go buy a new one and replace it myself.

Why didn't I check the damn regulator first? R500 for nothing.

Is there anything I can install on sliding aluminium windows where both panes slide, that can lock them without a key?

I know you can get these, but I just need a way to lock and unlock without using a key if possible:

Cut it in half ? Jokes, i'm sure you get similar smaller ones.
Would it attach in much the same manner as the one in the pic I posted, so the bolt moves to sit inside the frame of the other window?
