I was being modest...... because I bought the drill bits for the M20's (the wood was fine, the steel and masonry ones made me weep at their price)...

M32's though, I just hired that shyte, I wasn't gonna buy the requisites for them.... and yes, using them was monumental overkill but its supporting a part of my roof so better safe than sorry.

How much sand do you have in your tank?

The booster pump will not be too affected by free sediment, but if its just trying to pump layers of sand it won't do too well. Ideally you should install better filtration between your well point and tank.

Probably a cup or two of sand in the 2500L I pumped out - I do have a disk filter, but will probably need something better long term.

Drill 2nd drain hole futher up from bottom of tank , plumb tank input to that .

Any idea as to a decent sand removal filter? The water is used purely for the garden, and has been tested as clean (even drinkable) - I dont want to spend a ton on filteration for something that waters plants/grass

A decent disk filter should do the job adequately.
 
guys if you really want i can do a bill gates on your projects,voice activation etc and fully automated stuff.
The more complicated the better...i love a challenge

Okay, please voice activate the breaking up of my existing concrete pavers and pouring a concrete slab in its place.. must be polished with a nice to pattern Impressed..

Got one... Not working 100%. My dad recommend a specific brand, going to see if I can get hold of it.

The stuff coming through is really fine. Tempted to jump in the tank and get clean it up after I install a filter, but worried I end up with a Darwin award.
