Looks good, except I wouldn't do red after 10 years it would look dated.
Friend of mine did a red and white kitchen around 10 years ago and looks so aged.
That's the wifes decision - apparently its quite easy to repaint later.

Also thinking that... This one has given a good run, but compared to today's quality... No thanks.Get the extending slide ladders. All the folding ones feel flimsy.
In other news, to finish off my bar removal renovations - we went and had a look at fireplaces late this afternoon - and from my short list, we've settled on the following:

Installed price is R33,700. Trying to see if I can scrap the funds together before months-end.
I bought a folding one from Makro (can't remember the brand name) I am extremely impressed with it.. sturdy as anything and holds my 125kg ass, no issue.. also can be used as a 1.5m tall short scaffold..Get the extending slide ladders. All the folding ones feel flimsy.
I don't understand your questionit looks so pretty. just one question, and i guess you might not care i don't really know you, but have you thought about how the smoke will affect neighbours?

Our neighbours burn crap quality wood and stink up our house regularly. I would assume that is what he is referring to.I don't understand your question

I just had plans approved for a built in braai for a new entertainment area, the braai is even over the boundary line.Don't affect them - no where near a window of theirs - if they decided to go up a floor, it would be a problem - but - if they did that, I wouldn't be on terms with them that I cared.
Interesting question though, as you don't require permission to put one in - as you would a built in braai - I'm assuming because of the height of the flue, it would only affect neighbours a floor heigher than the installer.
My original "wonder ladder" is also sturdy as hell - pitty it died - I saw that one at Builders, took the one next to it - the build quality didn't look much different.
I haven't seen this builders one in person, it's just an example I could find closest to the one I picked up from Makro and is also a 3.54m reach..Don't affect them - no where near a window of theirs - if they decided to go up a floor, it would be a problem - but - if they did that, I wouldn't be on terms with them that I cared.

Didn't have to get any permission from neighbours.

Yeah our neighbour buys pretty much whatever he can find cheap. Is quite unpleasant as I get sinus easily, but they are good neighbours otherwise so c'est la vie.Another thing - chatting to the various places - it seems even mildly wet wood is a problem for these ovens... Hydrofire had some decent wood - so asked them for the source.

Do you live in my neighbourhood lol?so reason i asked is because i kinda am interested in getting one, but some knob here is burning a fire daily and it is all we can smell. and all windows are closed, single story, it isn't one of our direct neighbors, we suspect it is the planks diagonally to us. its really putrid.
