Between the wet, noise, work, studies and trying to keep my dog locked up to prevent them getting mauled it's been a great couple of days.... Just keep telling myself it will all be worth it once done.looks like great fun

So far so good with my contractor, although he seems to have selective memory. At least I'm home every day to work on his nerveshaha, welcome to my club, throw in shoddy work and a bad relationship with the contractor - good luck brother

So I tried asking in the D.I.Y Backyard projects thread and no answer.. place is a ghost town.. granted, my crude drawing may have scared people off..
anyway, going to be building a floating desk in my new office and working on a bracket design to hopefully manage all the weight..
dimensions: 1500x650x250
this is what I got:

please feel free to mock my sketchup skills...
so it will be a 25x5mm flat bar with 2x 8mm holes.. top hole will be rawl bolt while I while use a 100mm length ready rod chemically anchored or no more nails into the wall for the bottom hole.. welded to this will be a 25x25mm square tube and a knee brace from 25x5mm flat bar..
am I over engineering this bracket..? because the desk is only 250mm in height, i realistically only have around 200mm height for a bracket to fit to be hidden away and truly make it a floating desk.. figured this may be the best bet..
Hells no... They must clean up after themselves..Morning. Question to contractors, builders or those who had schit done.
When the job is done, but they leave rubish lying around, hand prints on walls after installing a ceiling, is that acceptable ? Do you expect to be paid ?
