We battled a bit with roof trusses, bricks was ok. The roof places are very busy it seems.
I'm 3 weeks in to my planned 10 week build.

So far on time and on budget... fingers crossed.
Yeah, was chatting to the builder that we need the trusses now on site. Walls up in 1 week has turned into 4 weeks, at the beginning of week 4 I hired additional bricklayers. Also seemingly lost 3 PolkAudio speakers along the way.

Hi Guys. Can anyone recommend a good tiler in Johannesburg. Thanks

We could probably start a support forum for contractors not doing what's been agreed, never being on site and ultimately the project running over time and expenses.

Walls are almost up on the 2nd floor, after a 2 day search we have bricks, this is despite the fact that I still have 2000 outstanding on a previous order from another supplier and all other shops stating at least 5 working days to 15 working days delay. Had to get them from Pta though which cost me a bang on transport (ironically still cheaper than my local building superstore 2km away).

In short if you have a project on the go, or will have one in the next few months, and you need cement or bricks it might be worth securing supply now.

Anyone know if you get a back to back connector similar to this. I need to insert a 20mm pipe on both sides.

You mean a conduit coupling fitting to allow you to extend a conduit?

No... This is connecting a pipe on both the outside and inside of a tank.

The picture posted only allows a pipe on one side.

The picture posted looks to be specific for electrical conduit to connect to a surface mount box, not for water connections..

Yeh, it is an electrical conduit. I'm using it for a cable to measure water levels, didn't need to be waterproof, just rigid.

I feel like I'm not going to get the answer here

i dont really feel like we understand what you need

from all i can understand is that you want a female and a male? and then screw them into each other?

So after 3 years in the current residence I finally got around to replacing the ball valve on the third fountain at the pool yesterday. Happy to say I didn't stuff it up to badly and the fountain is working with no leakage at the pipes this morning.

While back there though my sprinklers came on and I figured out why one section of the system had such low pressure...nice big hole had been dug into one of the pipes. Going to be a bit of a slog to repair that but I may just end up adding in an additional sprinkler.

The joys of being a home owner, the work never stops.

Yup... And the missus wonders why I hate going to builders or its ilk, there are always things that need doing and money that needs to be spent.
