Guys please help - I am absolutely livid...

The builders have installed the below 4x4 plug boxes in this configuration, and plastered in already, 90 degrees in the wrong way. Plugs now have to go in at a 90 degree angle and wont be upright and aligned. Recommendations to resolve other than chopping them out again?

Chop them out and redo... Its your only option, and a good shouting match at the builder for being a retard.

Looks awesome, if you dont mind asking how long did it take from start to finish?
They started on the 16th august, and finished yesterday...

I think that if it was better project managed, there could have been a week cut off that, so make it 2 weeks

That is why you should cable tie the builder's and electrician's testicles together when these things get installed. They need to communicate every step of the way otherwise shît like this happens.

I can't think of any good solutions, other than trying to 3D print something - but then pulling out a really tight plug is going to rip the whole thing out with it.

Other alternative would be getting metal plates made up with 8 holes drilled into it to correct the orientation, I imagine you'd need to earth the metal plate though.

Right first little job to do this weekend.
My garage has a sliding door that can only be locked(latched) from one side. Can I just purchase a lock from builders and DIY? It is a pretty old sliding door but a very common design.

Not sure if I missed the problem statement, but what are you wanting to do..?

Replace existing lock with a new one cause it's old and finicky..?

Replace with a lock that can be accessed from both inside and outside..?

His door does not have a lock, only the lever to close on inside. The lock is used to close/lock from outside.(and inside)

Who should I speak to about bathroom extractors?

My main concern is the outlet on the roof to outside, and hopefully being able to connect 2 bathrooms to 1 output

Awesome thanks, I only have one bathroom so trying to figure out logistics for that!

Disclaimer - I now very little about alarms

What brand of alarm, IDS?
Comms via cell would include Wi-fi or cellular module. Cellular link is nice but additional monthly expense (that is on HYYP /IDS)

Very cheap if it include installation as well but I think 805 is older model limited to 8 zones.
