Need some help -

I'm laying laminate floors DIY. I've ripped up the carpets and I see that they glued the layer under the carpet to the old parquet flooring.

Any ideas on how I can get the leftovers of the underlay off? Is there something I can put on that will easily lift / loosen the glue and then I can scrape it off?

Turps to soften the glue and gently with a scraper

Anyone tried to fit one of these pull switches before? Bought from builders.

There's nowhere to simply attach wires too, and the only visible pieces of metal is inside a plastic hole. Not sure if I'm supposed to open the whole plastic body and solder wore on or what.

Isn't exactly opening easily either
I believe that the wires are push-fit, but never used that particular one. Similar to some small switches. Simply twist the copper wire and push into the contact.
Is this DC or AC? Not sure about AC; I think that has to have screw contacts.

Turns out it was push fit.. it's rated for AC but also didn't expect it to be push fit.

Fixed up these old vanity cupboard lamps for the in laws.

So yesterday while I was testing our sprinklers, one of them shot this out and water just came gushing out of the ground:

After a quick google, I assume I'd have to replace the entire sprinkler? The nozzle looks damaged.
Mines too. In my case, it's also completely snapped off. Now gonna need to dig around the grass to get to replace the entire valve (if that's the term)

I would think you'll get maybe 2 square meters out of a disk before its trashed... might be quicker and cheaper to just plaster over the bumpy walls.

I do not believe so no, I would just wet the ground with a must sprayer before dropping in the concrete.
So I have completed the concrete patch project and hoping it will resemble the look I'm after.

The next project is to build a roughly 1m high retaining wall,
How do I DIY? What's the steps?

I have those C shaped retaining blocks ( not exactly sure what it's called)

Meh.. Did that now on the interior while we demo'd some walls. Thought it'd be easier to grind outside.

Unfortunately it will never really be easier to grind the stuff down.....
The easiest option is to plaster over it, the next best is to rip it all off and plaster again.
