seems excessive imo, it was about 1.5 years ago but I did a 10 x 6 odd shape with 3 supports and if I recall it was around 25k. I would go with metal and tie to the wall not the roof structure. make sure they use 0.5 steel not the cheap 0.3 or whatever it is for the sheeting.

to add here I did 2 tinted poly carb inserts between the steel sheeting to let some light in

Why so expensive..? Did you get just one quote..?

I have a quote for roughly the same sized roof covering and a brick braai with chimney for 68k.. this also includes finishing the roof with a ceiling and down lights..

Cape Town - you can literally build a makeshift shack in a township without any approval needed, but to put up a wendy house in your back yard, you need a ****ing plan.

Builder just finished Rhinoliting 3 rooms. I'm doing the painting myself to cut some costs.

Saw some posts from years ago on other sites saying to use only solvent based primers with Rhinolite but I see water based primers can be used on gypsum plaster (Rhinolite).

Builder says go with waterbased as easier to clean up and less fumes.

Anybody have any experience with priming Rhinolite?

Got one for wood and one for steel from different contractors just to test the water. Will be getting more quotes to get better idea of what's normal
 
There is absolutely no inspection for garden sheds. At least not in COJ unless neighbor complains.
 
So i have this chromadek roof that was built after i bought the place. The roof is 5 years old and you can see in what condition it is.
I replaced all the tek screws and bonded washers. Washed the roof with a pressure washer. Stuck some bitumen tape over all the tek screw heads. Did some waterproofing with membrane and Flash Harry liquid plastic. Then painted the roof with Dulux roof guard. 3 Coats.
The roof was originally dark dolphin in color but faded severely.
