Hi all .Need some advice. Need to get a roof erected over entertainment area. About 6m*10m with IBR and polycarb. First half is between two buildings and second half will need support on one side. The other side is supported by building.
The intention is to close the open sides at a later point in time. The existing visible roof structure on support buildings is obviously wood.
Questions
Should I go with wood to blend or metal for durability? Not much difference in quotes( R55K w vs R63K m)
Price guestimate? Can I get it done much cheaper?
What should I look out for in quotes?
Type/ style/.thickness of IBR
seems excessive imo, it was about 1.5 years ago but I did a 10 x 6 odd shape with 3 supports and if I recall it was around 25k. I would go with metal and tie to the wall not the roof structure. make sure they use 0.5 steel not the cheap 0.3 or whatever it is for the sheeting.
