They do have a backing inside i.e. it's not just the wall.
I want to remove them and then eventually put them permanently somewhere else, but while I do the floors, I wanted to just leave them standing somewhere loose for now.
It's not a corner unit, just straight.
People will only really and truly understand just how terrible carpets actually are, when they remove them from a home themselves..remove it. carpets = horrible
Look at the inside top of the cupboard.. they may have been fixed to the wall through a nailer strip, with some wall anchors.. these cupboards do stand on their own, but are typically fixed to the wall as I described, depending on who installed them..Basically this, but not in a kitchen:

So true. Carpets with animal piss on them are the worst. I rather deal with laminate floor problems than with carpets ever again. Best choice I made at previous home, to remove the last room's carpet.People will only really and truly understand just how terrible carpets actually are, when they remove them from a home themselves..
I just got done pulling out 60sqm of 30+ year old carpet from my new house and the amount of dust that filters through the carpet over time is ridiculous.. not too mention all those spills and stains you think you have cleaned up, still being there on the underside of the carpet..
Good riddance.. in my case, the carpets were also pissed on by cats for years and never given any sort of urine breakdown cleaner.. it was a horrific smell.. the estate agent who sold the house was back here today and couldn't believe how much better it smells now..

If you can't get it off you also get an insert with an epoxy type putty that you glue to the inside of that outlet. Then you can attach the skimmer to that.My pool inlet thread is broken (can't really see it in the pics) so I cant screw on my skimmer. Can this screw off or do I need to dig up and replace the whole thing?

You mean in the kitchen..? They are quarry tiles, original to when the house was built in the early 70's.. grout needs renewing, otherwise they are in fantastic condition..@WAslayer what are those floors? They look good.

Between 500-700k under going rates for similar sized properties in the area..Yoh dude, I hope you got that house at a bargain. Which suburb you in now?
Cherish those tiles like I cherish my carpets. The pool looks good though. You mean in the kitchen..? They are quarry tiles, original to when the house was built in the early 70's.. grout needs renewing, otherwise they are in fantastic condition..

Previous owner had a serious aiming issue.. the carpet tack strips around the toilet were rotted completely.. 50 year old human and cat piss stains had to go..You should have kept that. How retro...![]()
