Is your pipe connections connex or soldered
Is all hot water taps affected equally?
If they are i would look for a problem further up the line
The kitchen normally is furthest away from geyser so the pressure drop would be more noticeable there
Very unlikely that something could make its way through the pipes to lodge in taps (unless it is plastic that would float to the top of the geyser outlet, anything denser than water would just end up at the bottom of the geyser )
Is the tap pre geyser a tap or a stop cog
If tap i would check if something got lodged there, ie bypass it to see if the problem goes away
Or if the PRV is post T for cold i would check there too
As the prv has a protrusion into the pipe the spring is mounted on so if something landed in the burst pipe and got forced down your pipe it would lodge there , if the prv is pre cold water T then both cold and hot would be affected and no need to scratch there

Jumping in here, really depends on the age of the plumbing in the property, for some older homes the pressure regs were fitted close to the geyser in the roof, and cold water was not regulated, it would make sense that the geyser would be the first to use some water after a burst pipe outage and as a result possibly clog the prv with some dirt. Depending on the actual water pressure on the property, i know some high areas in jhb you would not notice that the cold taps are not pressure regulated as the main line pressure is below the 400/ 600 kpa the prv regualtes at.

Had a similar problem, before replacing a free-flow geyser with a high pressure geyser - some further away taps had nearly no flow at all.
Calcium buildup in the pipes was the cause and got pushed out after the install, had tea-colored water come out for days after the upgrade.
Took the opportunity to replace all the tap seals.
Due to the calcium buildup, I had to replace one stop valve completely, as I could not get it loose, to close/clean it.
I managed to clean some with wire coat hanger and a new seal.
Apparently there exist professional service and tools to clean (and even reline) pipes affected by this.
Based on my own experience I would say that some build-up is most likely clogging up your tap/shutoff valve, as that is the most restrictive part of the system. Try turning of the main supply, open the valve by the tap and clean it with a stiff pipe cleaner or or wire.

This is my setup where my water comes into the house. When I moved in I had one of those silver flex pipes going to the mixer in the kitchen blow on me.
There was no pressure regulator installed on the main feed.
So I installed a caleffi valve and added a gauge before and after the valve to see what is the incoming pressure before the valve and after the valve.
Looks a bit of a mess but it works. The valve does not let more than 6 bar into the house. Which is plenty enough. The first gauge often reads between 8-10 bar of pressure from the mains. I don't trust this house's indoor plumbing with those pressures.
I am at a very low level in town so when there is a water outage I am last to be affected and first to receive water when it's back on.

We’re finally looking at installing walk in wardrobes for the main bedroom.
The space is a little unusual in its shape which will create some challenges along the designing for the angled wall.
Design inspiration is as below, with led strip down along the front side, and aluminium glass/acrylic doors.
This is the design made by Kingsman on the recent season of the Block - but also matches our scullery design a little, with the play between the black and natural wood tone. Challenge is the natural backing. Is there a way to get the same colour without having to buy a full 16mm board just for backing.

Anyone have any views on picking between glass and acrylic, and a good supplier for the acrylic. Worried a little about the weight of the doors against the wood.
The recessed led channel will be a little challenging - I’ve found the A4/ A6 channel which meets the spec (can’t be too thick).
I do however need to find the actual power supply, strips and lights
Looking for some form of cut, plug and play solution.
This kit seems solid and what was used on the cabinets above:
Have mailed them for pricing but they don’t seem to service SA with these.

Your cheapest option is to get a full 16mm board for backing, veneered chipboard.. anything else is going to be expensive..New wardrobe project loading…

Alternatively, maybe a vinyl wrap with wood design/tone using standard 3mm MDF backing..

I would go for a COB LED strip in warm white (3000k) if I were you. I have a few of them around the house. GLO Lighting sells a 20m roll. Far cheaper than going for the 5m Eurolux versions. I bought from them recently and although they sent me the wrong products on my order they sorted everything quick quick. Very good service.
I am using mine in 5m pieces. With these power supplies, I also got from them. I am sure you can connect multiple lengths of the COB strips to one power supply as long as you don't exceed the wattage. The Spazio strip I quoted above is 8w p/m.
I used quarter-round aluminum profiles that I ordered from my nearest ACDC shop for the front of my house. They have all the different ones. I also got flat ones that I mounted elsewhere.. The recessed ones I don't know much about. Have a look at their catalog online. Starting on page 828. They have profiles, diffusers, mounting clips, etc. Also, they come in 2.5m lengths.

Thanks for the comprehensive response - will get on it. 2.5m works better as it will allow for a continuous strip to be rather than a cut and join on the 2m.
Definitely warm white is the colour choice.
Did have an issue with a Glolighting order once but it was more the AC/DC warm white floodlights that failed - all 3. But that would represent around 5% of my total orders with them.

Just FIY. The 20m strip I quoted is bright as hell. Will post pics later. I just used a 5m piece in some profiles and they light up the whole yard.
