Hi folks,

Anyone know of a biz or person who can do specifically granite / marble with waterfall sides for a kitchen island.

Union tiles can supply the slab but won’t fabricate nor install.

Hi,
I bought a Smeg granite composite sink and I need to drill a hole for the sink mixer. I was hoping the quartz installer would drill a hole for me, but he said that he doesn't have the correct diamond bit (which seems like a lie).

Any suggestions of what bit to use and the best way to drill it? There isn't a lot of info online.

How is it best to drill the composite sink in order to install a kitchen tap and / or any accessories?
It must always be drilled from the rear of the product towards the front in correspondence with the pre-holes already present, making sure care is taken. A drill with a diamond cup cutter that has a diameter of 35mm must be used.

The Smeg Granite Sink is not Granite.

Like people saying they have Laminate Wood Floors, I always ask "So, which is it?" there is no wood in laminate.

BTW I saw one of those sinks where a pot of hot oil was poured into it ~ stuffed.

Unless there are different types...

It's composite granite, you also get composite quartz sinks. I'm not sure what the other materials are, but it's not nearly as heavy as you'd expect it to be for a "granite" composite.

To be fair, it does look quite nice.

Those FAQs are scary. My family will decimate that sink in no time
 
Hi guys, is this quote OK for installation of a garden tap. We have one in the courtyard and the plumber will be installing a new tap on the wall about 23 meters away.

The tap price is alright if he's using a decent one, they cost about that at Chamberlains (don't mind paying retail) but what's the wall plate at R389.50? Why do you think the pipe's R84 per meter?

15mm polycop pipe is R162 for a 25m roll at Builders.

Appreciate your advice, certainly looks as if he's loading the price.

He quoted on "orange plastic" pipe because it was much cheaper than copper but jeez R84 m is a lot.

I'll put him on hold for now and get another quote.

Yea, at 84 bucks per metre, you’d actually save money by buying copper (it’s about R50 pm). Hope you come right.

Which area are you in?
 
Hi all

Is it possible to get an adapter to convert my current bath spout to a mixer without breaking tiles?

My hot and cold are on the side wall with the spout at the head of the bath.

Hoping to connect a hand shower to help with bathing the kids.
