And I was also told that the majority of the lights and plugs are wired into the essential side, and the geyser and pool pump sit on the non essential side. Anyone got any ideas about this system? Did some internetting, can't seem to find lots of positive feedback. Or am I maybe posting this in the wrong spot?:unsure:

Mine arrived today.

Was easy to install, picked up with Matter inside Home Assistant first time (I didn't even bother using the Ewelink app first).

Build is nice but I'm not a huge fan of the switches, it's not super easy to feel your away around the switch (but still infinitely better than touch buttons) so could end up pushing the wrong ones while I get used to it. The thickness of the unit actually didn't end up bothering me that much, it looks pretty good on the wall and covers the wall box fine.

I replaced a 2-gang with this 3-gang switch and I can use the 3rd switch as a multifunction button to trigger automations in HA.

Will use it for a while before I decide if I want to get more of them.

Any chance you can elaborate more on this? (Ive seen quite a few people saying something like this. Some talk about using the 3rd for dimming.)

Specifically how you connect the 3 gang up if there is only 2 wires coming out for the 2 lights?

The reason i ask, i ahad a 4 gang switch with only 3 gang cables and power, and couldnt get the switch to power on without all 4 switches/L ports connected?

Received but been in the box. Will probably only get a chance to install in a week or two . Glad you are happy on your side, I reallllly need to get rid of these touch ones I have
 
Kitchen Reno underway.. contractor starts demo on tiles Monday, so spending the weekend throwing out the 70s...

Our extension is up needed to "tunnel" through existing floor to place new drain... so much "fun"

Looking forward to end product and kitchen!

Doing a few things at once, also repainting the entire exterior whilst we at it

Yeah couldnt agree more, the amount of regret I would have a few years down the line if something goes wrong simply not worth it!

This switch has one input for live, one for neutral and then 3 separate inputs for the 3 loads. The switch is powered regardless whether anything is plugged into the loads so I just don't have anything plugged into the third one but it still shows up in Home Assistant and can use it to trigger automations.

Aah, I think that might be the difference of the Eachen that don't require neutral.

If you don't have all 3 loads connected the switch won't go on.

Spray foam insulation update.

Scored a luck with a Joburg spray foam insulation company that was doing a film shoot in Somerset West. Most spray foam insulation companies won't do anything less than 50square meters or a minimum of R45k.

The family run business had extra chemicals over and he was kind enough to come spray my inside garage wall and since my bonus come through, it didn't cost me anything.

That insulation foam hardens. So the nutec panels are the top of the vibracrete wall is rock hard - no movement / flexing.

Now to complete the inside nutec panels
