The iOS 15 Thread/Discussion

Only problem I have so far is that my weather program (Accuweather) widget does not work on my iPhone, but strangely enough works on my iPad.

Sure it will be rectified by an update from the developer.

Other than that, everything is running smoothly and fine
 
Been running since last night. Mine came through just after 7pm :p

My 11 Pro Max weirdly feels a little snappier maybe. Lets hope there's no additional battery drain.

Monterey is only releasing later this year - Big Sur was released in Nov.

Correct. The beta is quite stable already, but would not recommend it for a daily laptop. I'm testing a new update of my app on it at present.

I only have one laptop and it’s stable enough for my daily use (app development, web browsing, media consumption)

I use time machine for backups though, so I’m not worried if anything goes wrong.
 
The Safari live text search is really cool, but not sure if I will actually end up using it all that much.

Live text on its own is incredibly useful though!

Been running Monterey for a while now. Pretty stable since the last update to be honest

This is the best feature for iOS15. I tested it on a few photos and it worked perfectly, even weird fonts.

Agreed. I got sent a photo of an invoice from a customer for instance. Tapping on their email address on the invoice pops up a 'Send an email' popup. Same with their phone number. Pretty cool indeed.
 
I'm liking the new Safari redesign that matches the website theme, although I can see how it might not work great on all sites:

Live text works great

safari tab bar at bottom should become “normal” in a day or 2 (just don’t like where the “+” button is now, definitely was better in the middle in portrait mode)

Muscle memory is hard to shake…I also don’t like the “+” button’s new location.

I moved my search/tab bar back to the top, down there at the bottom is just too weird for me

And in landscape it is at the top….

back to the top for me then too

Actually not too weird for me, after being confused for like 3 or 4 attempts, I'm halfway used to the bar chilling at the bottom and it does "look" nicer.

But while typing a url in the input box, I agree, would've been way better if it moved to the top, as it would feel more natural when it comes to searching.
