adsl3g,
Did you go ahead with the jailbreak?
All is running good on my side.
Do you have Carrier logos?!?!
Its an agreement with Apple, Mac = Apple = iPhone![]()
so the Dev team made a deal with Apple to let Mac users jailbreak first? why does that sound incorrect?

Yeah that's what I meant - the text is actually a .png logo.

That worked. I restored with the official 3.1 FW from apple. Then ran the pwnage tool and restored my JB. I still have my carrier logo. I guess the issue is trying to jump right from 3.0 to the 3.1 jb FW from the Dev-team.
couldn't resist....

Did you have original 3.1 firmware on before your jailbreak???
I've restored 3 g-d damn times today! I'm just gonna deal with not having a carrier logo!!!

Yes..
off the jailbreak topic, i've just made 2 nice discoveries (still on 3.01 - 3GS)
Kirikae - available from cydia - a task manager, had been looking for one for ages, works with backgrounder and lets you switch between apps from a pop-up interface.
And AirVideo - a upnp server/client that streams any video format (mkv and avi divx tested here) to the iphone in real time, available on appstore, works really well.
