Or you could have run the chown -R mobile /var/mobile in mobileterminal. prob would have fixed it imo.

I need some advice:
I want to buy a mount for the Iphone. I obviously need something with a charger so I can use the gps.
I found this but I want to be able to put the phone landscape. I don't want to buy the thing only to find it doesn't hold it sideways. Ther is also this one but its a bit steep for me. There is also this but I wil have to use my own charger (not a problem, I just had some bad experiences with wantitall)

Can anyone recommend a nice mount for the iphone?

Also is it possible for me to import my waypoints from Mapsource to my navigon? It does not seem to have a Mapsource style program to go with it. and adding all my waypoints one by one is going to be a pain.

I also desperately need a car mount/charger for my iPhone too now. I am trying to hold out for Navigon's cradle which should be launched next month - it just looks soooooo awesome (and supports portrait and landscape mode).

I see TomTom has also revealed pricing for their cradle - $120. Actually a little pricey!!
 
which online shop has the best iPhone cases and prices? prefer SA shops if possible! mainly looking for the candyshell but open to ideas!

Have you tried have2have.co.za is great or (igear.co.za hate to refer them...bad past experience) maybe you'll have better luck or the apple store in Claremont(project 3 in protea road) they have a large variety of cases & covers for the iphone.

The Navigon one looks cool, similar to the one from wantitall, much nicer tho.

Maybe I'll just buy the one from want it all. just the 3 week wait and not being sure that youre gonna get what you ordered......
 
I've got an iPhone 3G 16GB, and I've got the chance to upgrade to the 3Gs for about R150-R200, Is it really worth the upgrade, has anybody here upgraded from a 3G to a 3Gs ? Is it a worthy upgrade? Another bonus is that next year I won't have to put a lot of extra money into getting the new one...

For the sake of R150-R200, it's definitely worth it.

Nice, I agree - do the upgrade as it isn't a lot of money to get the new model for a quicker phone with a few more features. Is this an offer from your SP or what?

Most Vodashops sell candyshell's. I bought mine at VOdaworld in Midrand. R299

The one from Wantitall doesn't look bad. I'm gonna hold out for Navigon's one though :D
 
so after having tomtom installed i noticed the battery life of my 3G is quite a bit worse. Even if i dnt use the gps...coincidence? i dnt know...

O ok, thought u had some more 'physical' damage. My camera got screwed up a little while ago, only took distorted green 'images'. Got it fixed by squeezing the top right corner of the phone... :D
THought yours could be similar... but seems not. Glad its fixed

Don't see how that could be affecting battery life if its not in use = but yea!! I am uninstalling it anyway - don't like hacked apps!
