iphone firmware 2.0.1 has been released
http://iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1621
http://blog.iphone-dev.org/The current version of PwnageTool is numbered 2.0.1 but it does not support the latest ipsw (also numbered 2.0.1) version
Layman’s terms clarifications:-
* If your 3G iPhone is on a regular contract and you always plan to be with the carrier then you can update but you will lose the jailbreak and access to third party (non AppStore) applications.
* If your 3G iPhone is not on a regular contract and you plan to use it on an alternative network to the carrier that supplied it then do not update unless you do it with the impending PwnageTool update.
* PwnageTool v2.0.1 does not work with version 2.0.1 of the iPhone or iPod update from Apple.
* We will release an update to PwnageTool when the testing has been completed and all applied changes have been checked for safety.
Why does Cydia always freeze my iPhone? Even after 5 fresh made Custom Restores in Pwnage 2.0.1 it still doesn't work....
It gets stuck on the "Running.. - Downloading openssl..." screen!! It is the most annoyin thing out, is anyone experiencing the same issue?
All i'm trying to download is OpenSSH so I can change a folder permission!!
You've got to be kidding me?!
I must sit like a moron and restart my phone several times simply because Cydia cannot function properly?!?!
After how many restarts did it decide to work?
And yes, it is one of the many recommended updates...
I'm on restart 6 now and still no luck
Upon reading other forums, it seems that the issue is quite common - yet no one has a solution for it yet... Others are blaming fw 2.0 (Maybe that's why 2.0.1 was released so quickly)
Can't wait for Installer 4 though and an update in Pwnage.... (I guess i'll actually just wait till both get released, i've had enough restarting the device so often)
hey fxit, have you managed to send apps through to your iPhone via SSH yet?
