not a bug, it's intentional, it's a setting on the exchange server that enforces the camera to be disabled, enterprise security settings, was hoping someone would know about a cydia app that hacks this
 
Any of you guys got the 'COD:W@W Zombies' app yet? I really wanna try it online.

just used blackra1n to jailbreak my iphone 3GS..
i used theron.roland's post.
but now i cannot send sms's?
anyone know what's wrong?

yes. And I think it is one of the most impressive ports I have ever seen.

Have as much fun on it as I do on the pc version which I would have never thought. Also online and offline co-op is awesome!
 
Problem: Jailbreak a OOB 3.1.2 with Blackra1n and all is fine, untill I switch phone off and on again. It goes into recovery mode after starting up.

I've googled a lot on this, no answers.
Tried so far:
Putting phone in DFU mode - not working
Manually putting it in restore mode after a full restore, then jailbreak - not working
switched phone off after restore, running blackra1n, switch on - not working
Formatting phone after jailbreak - not working
Restoring and not setting up phone, and setting up phone as new - not working

In all of this I've disabled all iphone/iTunes services, and left them running - not working.

This is with 2 OOB 3.1.2 phones...

Help please?
 
You probably have purchased the new batch of 3GSs for which only a tethered jailbreak is supported by blackra1n. By tethered I understand you have to run blackra1n each time you boot up the phone as when the phone is rebooted, all jailbroken data is lost and it returns to a non jailbroken state.

Having said that I do not see why they are getting put in recovery mode? Are you following the tutorials? Look on iclarified I'm sure they must have one.

Are you using the new RC2 release of blackra1n?

Got a problem with my wife's iphone, specifically the wireless. I was busy updating apps to newest versions with the app store app using the wireless connected to a adsl router. Next thing, it switches to Edge, and now it doesn't pick up any wireless AP's at all. I have tried switching off, holding Power and Home button in till it goes off, Settings->General->Reset->Reset Network Settings & also Reset All Settings, but still not working. My iphone has no problems, happily uses the wireless.

Occasionally it will pick up the AP which I am closest to (I have tried 2 different AP's), but it appears as soon as the phone tries to download/upload data it just reverts back to Edge/3G and wifi doesn't pick anything up again. :(

It's a 8GB 3G running 3.0 JB, so will it it work if I restore it back to 3.0 and JB again, or even with the newest 3.1.2 update? Anybody had anything like this happen to them? Or must I send it back in under warranty to Vodacom/MWeb? :eek:

I think I read somewhere when doing some arb general reading on the 3.1.2 Wifi issue (which I luckily never had) that you can may try put it into Airplane mode then turn that off and see if it kicks it. Worth a go, you've got nothing to loose.

How do I check to see if its one of these "un-jail-breakable" phones?

Sheesh its been a year since I jailbroke (breaked?) my 3g... Eish!
 
Madman -> Just follow a tutorial, if it doesn't work or messes up your settings, go to iTunes and restore.. it will restore all the factory settings.. As far as i know there is no harm that can be done in trying.

If the phone is om 3.1.2 out of the box, your screewed :P
It will jailbreak 100% but as soon as jou reboot or switch it off, it bombs out, goes in DFU or recovery mode.

There is a custom firmware to download, tried last night but it bombed out.
Damn filehosting sites...
 
Do we have any working mirror links where one can download the latest (or fairly newish) tomtom app maps for South Africa ?

I ordered myself the tomtom car kit, and it would be awsome to get a fairly newish version of the software component.

I checked the links posted earlier but they were all broken / removed / deleted / abducted by aliens and ... well yea.

Any info would be greatly appreciated ! :)

how do i download pics to my iphone? is there an app i need?
im not jailbroken (my phone came with 3.1.2 OOTB)

You have to sync it with iTunes. Select which folders you want to sync it with in iTunes and they will show in your Photos app on the iPhone all neatly..
