Hi Guys,

Which software (with GUI) do you reckon is the best for transferring files to the iPhone...

I have a zipped application with a payload folder that i need to transfer..

I've tried iphoneExplorer and iFunBox but neither seem that grand..

what do you use?



and also, which thread has every1 disappeared to??

Used to use DiskAid, but found i-FunBox is much better and faster.

But you can do the SSH over Wi-Fi or USB route which is quite nice. Can also set permissions etc that way. I prefer Wi-Fi myself unless it's big files I am transferring.

Try Unlimitones, found under Cydia. Not sure if there is an app for Non-Jailbroken phones though...

i have yet to find one, besides... an iPHONE is not an iPHONE unless it's Jailbroken

I have found a way to replace the existing ones but I am not too keen on doing that.

As the iPhone does not support additional SMS tones in any way (unlike ringtones which you can add through iTunes), the only way to do so would be to 'trick' the iPhone into playing the 'default' (which you will replace with another sound file) SMS tones.

So whichever method you use, it will replace your current SMS tones.

What you can do is SSH into the phone and rename your old tones to xxx.caf.backup. Then copy the new tones in their place.

Or just copy the existing tones to your PC for backup. You can't really go wrong, if you mess up and need the original SMS tones, they are available on the net, or one of us will sort you out with them

the problem with i-funbox was that it thought the device was jailed due to blackra1n not adding the afc2 service. resolved here http://www.ihackintosh.com/2009/10/afc2add-solve-ifunbox-iphonebrowser-diskaid-with-blackra1n-phones/

FIX CYDIA CRASHING ON LAUNCH

It seems there is a problem with the ZoDttd repo in particular causing Cydia crashes.

Working here now 100%, used iFile on my device

Navigate to the /var/lib/apt/lists/ folder. Delete the 3 x zodttd files
Navigate to /private/etc/apt/sources.list.d Delete the zodttd file
Then launch cydia.

Not really.
UStream Broadcaster was amusing for a few minutes, worked well -streamed video to a buddy who was overseas.
Pastebot is useful.
Can't say much more than that really. Much the same.
