Why does iTunes sync so slow, I'm sick of having to sit around and wait for it. On average the process takes more than 2 hours. Bugger me, but it is only 16GB of data at most and I don't have it filled to the brim.

Thought about using Media Monkey but it messed up my phone in a bad way.

Determining gapless playback is usually the cause of slow iTunes syncing.. It insists on doing this every time you plug the phone in... Just press the "X" in the progress bar at the top to stop it. Works for me every time :)

Also make sure your phone is plugged into a high speed USB 2.0 port (usually the back ports that come straight from the motherboard if your PC is new-ish)
 
Does anybody know the shortcut to turn roaming on?

I know there is like a *xxx*xxxx something code you can type to turn it on.
 
3.1.3 up and running!

Looks the same though.. dont know what they changed.
 
NOTE: iPhones with 3.1.2 out of the box (serial number starting with MCxxxxxx) ONLY support a TETHERED jailbreak for now.

TETHERED JAILBREAK = When the iTunes recovery logo appears every time you reboot the phone after jailbreaking with blackra1n RC3 or alternative.

You have two options:

- to re-run blackra1n RC3 every time you reboot the phone and are presented with this recovery logo (which proves very inconvenient)
- to restore the phone and lose the jailbreak

Is this still an issue or something that I either have to live with or maintain the status quo and lose out on all the cool apps out there?

yes, unfortunately it is still an issue. i will edit it accordingly when there is an "untethered" jailbreak available, and you are bound to hear about it when that is so.

HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

I have just made a huge mess. I wanted to upgrade to FW3.1.2 from 3.0. Downloaded everthing, started process, but forgot the most important step - TO RESTORE THE PHONE. I know, it's Friday. Now when it switches on it hangs on the boot-up logo (Apple). iTunes doesnt see it. Please help, how do I get it alive again.
