... which then fools your iPhone into thinking it is unlocked (i.e. has an AT&T SIM in it). You only need this for iPhones imported from the US. The iPhones sold by Vodacom are not locked and will work on any carrier.
 
@morkhans - thx. I have a friend who bought a 3g in Spain. I guess it will need the turbosim too?

Already? Can't believe them..... I know they coming down very hard on the DevTeam and with cracked AppStore Apps. I read somewhere yesterday that what they will do this soon, once you connect to iTunes and it sees that you have cracked apps, it will automatically attempt to charge you for them..

I haven't tested 8.0.1 yet but its usually new firmware that requires new pwn software, not iTunes... If anyone tries it out post back here...

My friend bought a 3G from Greece BUT from a Vodafone store and I unlocked it with its sim that it came with then inserted the Vodacom/MTN one..

So find out whether your friend bought it from a Vodafone or not (I think its Vodafone that was selected as a carrier for Spain...)

We have almost 400 turbosim lying around (as we purchased the phones before ZiPhone days...) I was hoping for them to work, but we recently tried it and it doesn't :(

Imagine... I could've sold em for 50 bucks a pop. R20k made quick & easy. :D

Got my goods from shop&ship today(very impressed with them), only thing is that shipping(DHL) costs as much as the gelaskin.

I bought a griffin vizor and some mac accessories so the delivery is not too bad(don't think IC stocks some of the goods I bought) but yeah they do have postal delivery or pickup... but the odds of getting your goods in one piece from the post office :eek:

Going back to one of Little Fishe's posts regarding MMS..

I know that Vodacom to Vodacom works like a charm.

But has anyone tried MTN-Vodacom or any other network? Doesn't seem to work, I can't view my friend MMS that is sent from his MTN iPhone. It says that its fetching it, but it takes hours...

Can anyone confirm that this is an issue...

@fxit - Dude pls edit your first post of this thread, and add SwirlyMMS settings for the different networks. I can provide you with Vodacom & MTN settings. (Just to make it easier for others and myself.... )

A bit off topic

Hey guys,
I think MyADSL needs a dedicated iPhone forum. Otherwise are there any good local forums? (Google returned nothing worth writing home about)

Otherwise I think a dedicated local forum (like the ones available for the PS3 and Xbox) would be very handy.

What do you guys think?
 
"tap tap" game on the iphone under the us-store im addicted!!!! its really cool, like those dance games you get at the arcades ... and its free!!!! really nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... can also download other songs ...

Did anyone manage to get onto the US store with that voucher technique? Didnt work for me :( Any suggestions on how to get onto it?
