No, I tried them all... does not work.
 
@limnos - winterboard was installed because of some other app I downloaded (cant remember which). My silent also doesnt work. Makes sense now!
 
@marine1 - iTunes will only get album artwork for albums sold in iTunes. I bought a program on the net iArtwork. Not too bad to fill in the blanks, but sometimes it adds total rubbish if it cant find it.

That's true.. I usually just search amazon.com or Google images or something for the artwork and manually add it by highlighting all songs in an album, clicking "Get Info", double clicking the blank "Album" image and browsing for my picture..

Sure it takes time, but it's rewarding in the end :)

Oh ok, but it keeps asking me for account information, I thought the itunes store didnt work in S.A. ?

It does work, we just don't have a lot of stuff on it, and it requires credit card information :p

Do yourself a favour and Create a US iTunes account (this method doesn't require credit card information) , then sign into the iTunes store using your account, sync your iPhone with your PC, and when you try to download stuff with AppStore, simply enter in the account details you created ;)

Not me :) I hated Winterboard from the beginning, especially I after I had that MobileSubstrate issue and my phone wouldn't go further that the Apple bootlogo. It's my girlfriend, she wants this stupid 'Apple Diamond' theme that matches her stupid crystals... Then she complains why her phone is giving her issues... :) lol..

What doesn't work? I just leave it on Nokia_N95 as it's UserAgent and all my MMS's seem to go through. I just though the iPhone UserAgent wouldn't be recognised by Vodacom for MMS.

There we go! So Winterboard is the problem! Well I removed it off her phone and now it's all back to normal :)

I thought it was the Five Icon Dock, but it's defintely WinterBoard.

Received my BlueTooth Headsets today from iGear.co.za

They aren't OEM but they work pretty good. Only think that is concerning me as that the microphone isn't loud; people think that i'm 'far away'... Anyone have any clue how to increase microphone volume for this device? There aren't any contact details on this box :rolleyes: seems pretty Fong Kong to me... Will give you more updates once its fully charged and I use it more frequently..

I meant changing the user agent does not solve the 'not receiving MTN MMS's' on a Voda sim.

uhm, why on earth would you buy a headset from igear?? any bluetooth headset works? (3'rd party, nokia, sonyEricsson etc.), have a Dension iPod and bluetooth car kit, works fine on that (the bluetooth i mean, haven't tried the ipod dock, have my 160gig classic in that)

You're welcome! Now time to jailbreak so you can make your phone look cool :)

You can get loads of custom themes and tweaks such as:
- Winterboard - Allows you to customize your phone from custom slide to unlock images, to custom icons, to custom keyboards! Here is just a taste of what you can do with it!
- 5 Icon dock (which allows you to drag a fifth icon into the dock)
- Vibrus (which gives feedback as you type by vibrating the keyboard. You can customize vibration and intesity length even)
- SSH access (file access to the phone) which allows you to do things like replace the MobileInstallation file with a patched version which allows you to install cracked AppStore apps
- Cycorder . A free video recorder with sound that works great!
- BossPrefs which is a Settings "replacement" tool which allows you to reboot the phone, respring (restart) the springboard and many other cool things with plugins available on Cydia!

All this stuff and plenty more can be done with Cydia alone!

So what are you waiting for?

Im sure a lot of you know this allready, but for those who dont, a cool site that does reviews of apps, AND lists the price drops for AppStore apps.. www.148apps.com . What is quite cool, on the right hand side it lists all the apps that have come down in price, or are now FREE for a limited time.

I'm avoiding iGear they seem to be a bit dodgy these days, some guy bought an 8GB for about R10000 turned out to be locked not officially unlocked as they advertised.
