Deleted it, no difference, same error in iTunes.

I noticed the whole thing re SSH. Of course I cannot get into anything, so I just keep wiping the screen!

I also tried everything in that link, everything as it should be, it seems.

Reboot - the phone or PC?

I dont have a root folder in private/var

There is no root folder, except the actual root folder at the very beginning

The PC.

Ok in WinSCP, you did press the [/] button right? (On the right of the home button)

Then /private/var/root/Library

Yip, went to root, etc, but I dont have a root in private/var, only a private/var/run where I found another lockdown folder? Should I try deleting this as well? Should I copy back the previous one?

If I reboot PC it will take a couple of minutes.

The one I deleted in private/var is the one with the pair records folder in. Should I reboot the pc now?

Thx for the help.

Just one concern, if I enter DFU mode, will iTunes definately see my phone?

Just scared, at least I can now still access it with SSH.

I honestly dont know.. Have read of many people with the same problem as you though, they said they fixed it by entering into DFU mode and restoring.

Dobee - You know anything bout this?

What if it gets stuck in DFU and iTunes doesn't see it? Oh, and do I restore and Ziphone, and rather re-create my WinPwn file without BSDSubsytem?

You should be scared if iTunes does not detect your phone in DFU, it is the last resort to save an iPhone.

I assume you have created a pwned firmware already?

I recommend you make another one but without BSD and custom logos, just choose to unlock the baseband/activate and restore with this firmware using iTunes.

You can restore using a locked apple default firmware but you'll have to run pwnage again and re-restore using a pwned firmware.

Edit: and don't bother with ziphone it won't help you.

If you having trouble entering DFU use iLiberty+ to enter DFU.

You can use this to get recovery mode if you have any problems doing it manually. Look at the advanced menu on the top left hand side of the screen for the option for restore mode/DFU.

ONLY USE IT TO ENTER DFU
