ook im freakn out...yep i know its been a week since i asked abt all this...well Fxit man i did evthing u told me 2 and now im on 2.0.2 and i used quickpwn and it has jailbroken my phone so that the sim is compatible but it hasnt unlocked so its not pickn up the vcom signal ie. i cant call out....what must i do :-(
 
@shivz - u on windows? I only know WinPwn. But check out sleepers.net. Sounds like you might not have chosen to activate. I'm guessing here, but have a look there.

o and another prob im having isim trying 2 check my yahoo mail and it keeps sayn pword/user name incorrect...and then i remember readn a couple of pages back abt u guys emailing the edge settings 4 vodacom/sthing like that and what exactly is PUSH?

the free yahoo mail doesnt have a pop server, but yahoo mail plus does.

That may be why you are getting the error..

With regards to unlock, follow this guide for Windows

And this guide for Mac

The settings we were emailing each other are no longer required. Simply go to Settings, General , Network , Cellular Data Network, and change the APN accordingly ("internet" for Vodacom)

If you are referring to Push Email see here
 
ok im making myself a real ass here well i dowloaded the wrong thing im on windows not mac so the pwnagetool doesnt work....now im tryin 2 get winpwn but evdamn place keeps going to rapidshare.com and keeps sayn im downloadn sum other file so keeps blocking me from downloadn it!
 
ok thanks fxit but its that same site that keeps sayn im downloading anoher file...should i just restart my pc and try again??
 
aaaah finaly thanks so much fxit...now i was readn thru the guide for windows and noticed that im gonna have to restore....basicly start from scratch right?Cos ive already updated to 2.0.2 and its allowing me into da phone just not activated...so will i b able 2 skip all that or do u reccomend i start from scratch and restore and do evthing agn from step 1...

i havent used quickpwn before so i wouldnt be able to advise you on any alternatives.. i always do a fresh restore simply because its so easy to backup, and it's refreshing.. speed wise and everything :)

so yes i would recommend a full restore, but other people may not

BUT you may not have to do any of that if you say you can get into the phone

Do you have Cydia installed? If so, download "BootNeuter" and unlock it using that.
 
yeah ive got cydia and im downloadn bootneuter as we speak...so u sayn that basicly if i download bootneuter i dont have to do any of the above?? cos yeah its allowing me in2 my phone but just cant pick up a signal and cant get in2 my email
 
so abt the mail thing...what am i supposed 2 do exactly??
