CopiercIN from Cydia can help you for the time being.

You see when you press the home button, it kills the current app completely. So where will your clipboard be running?

I'm quite satisfied with CopiercIN, you can Copy Paste text from/to email/sms/notes...

Na I want it for Safari!

@kleine-fisch - it works between mtn(blackberry) voda (iphone) and cell c (iphone), send and receive all ways.

@AVDP

Are you able to receive MMS from other networks? IE: Im a Vodacom subscriber and I cant open the MMS sent to me from MTN. I am however able to send MMS to MTN.

I can however do everything Voda to Voda.

Little Fish

Have you tried uninstalling SwirlyMMS, rebooting the phone, installing it again? Sounds weird..

l saw it earlier, was wondering if you guys saw it? I think adamr asked about games. Maybe you sbould explain it again?

Cannot remember who posted the question.... And having got thru all the pages posted today, I am not gonna go back to quote.

The question was how to delete an application you have installed on the iphone3g?

Answer is hold down the app until a red cross appears in the top right of the icon, click the cross... boom, delete, confirm, gone!

Sure thing.. For ROM's, hit up the internet.. Some good site's i found were:

Emu-Russia
EmuCation

Once you got the roms, SSH into the phone and put them in the /var/mobile/Library/ROMS/Genesis folder (if i can remember correctly..)
Havent used it for a while so that path may not be 100% correct.

To all the OLD iPhone users...doesn't it just feel like you have suddenly been yanked back to February 2008 with all these noob questions ;-)...welcome to the family guys and gals!!

Haha... So true, I guess we all started as n00bs in this thread... Good to see the iPhone community growing!

I just upgraded my 1st gen iphone to 2.1 (with some help from fxit), and now it doesnt pick up my WI-Fi at all anymore. Read that this is an issue, and also restoring to a previous version of the firmware wont fix it as it does some 'permanent' damage. Followed all steps in the Apple KB http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1559 still to no avail, tried all 3 steps, step 4 means taking iphone in for repair (not quite possible on an illegal immigrant is it? :) )
Has anyone else experienced the same problems? Any solutions?

Hmm thats why i prefer a fresh restore and not an upgrade / restore from a backup..

Have you tried going to Settings, General, Reset, Reset all settings?

The KB instructs to firstly wipe all network settings. If it doesnt work, all settings. If it still doesnt work, full restore, else take in to apple store.\Got this from an apple discussions thread, havent tried it yet
Just got back from the Apple Store.

Genius told me that she's seen this before. She suggested it could be a corrupted preference that survives even after you restore the phone. She did a more intensive restore (hold both buttons on the phone until the Apple logo comes up like you would for a hard-reset, and then plug into the computer and restore). And she had me set the phone up as new when I got home rather than restoring from backup.

This worked. WiFi works again.

Very strange. Glad I found a Genius who had seen this problem before. Really love the phone; wish it was as bug-free as my trusty old v1 iPhone used to be.

Well there you go... Moral of the story, fresh restore, don't upgrade and restore from a backup.. It fails...

Good to hear you're sorted... Would have told you the exact same thing if the settings reset didnt work..

Im not sorted, that is a post from someone in the US, sorry... got it on the apple discussions forum. I did a full restore, still no Wi-Fi.
Will try the abovementioned restore tomorrow.
Do you know wnything about the hard-reset? Normal itunes restore and quickpwn unlock didnt work
