Did you take note of the last step on that SSH tutorial? It takes about a minute or so to generate keys

Then click "Login". This usually takes a few minutes the first time to generate keys.. It will seem as if nothing at all is happening, but it is Just wait till you are presented with a dialog as such:

Not yet - don't know which version to use (Mac or Windows?) and scared :o
While I am here - you can tell me - in the Windows version you have to start up iTunes and do a restore with the patched firmware which you downloded onto your PC right?? and then run the QuickPWN and select the same firmware version - right??.
Just wanna check as the restore thing in iTunes is a bit confusing and in the Mac version of QuickPWN the instructions have not got this step.

Just use whatever OS you are in now :)

I did mine in Windows, it doesn't really make a difference.

Don't be scared :) Nothing can really go wrong :)

Just follow the Windows or Mac tutorial. Simple as that ;)

(assuming you have a 3G iPhone)

Just remember to backup the phone if you want to keep data. (right click iPhone, backup)

If you've already updated to 2.1 via iTunes you should have the firmware file already on your PC..

On:

Windows :

XP - C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data (hidden folder)\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates

Vista - C:\Users\[username]\AppData (hidden folder)\Local\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates


Mac: ~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates (afaik)

Hidden iPhone 2.2 Beta Features
Apple has included some new features in the iPhone 2.2 Beta seeded to developers, according to MacRumors.

The features include:
- Support for Japanese emoji icons which may improve iPhone adoption in Japan.

- Support for Google Street View for the Google Maps application. Google Street View provides 360° panoramic street-level views and allows users to view parts of selected cities and their surrounding metropolitan areas at ground level.

- Finally, Apple has provided a switch to enable or disable the iPhone's keyboard auto-correction feature.

Btw, i have uploaded the patched Fring.

Details on my iPhone group. See my profile for details (Under Group Memberships on the right hand pane)

This allows you to make calls over 3G and EDGE (If you really want - The normal version doesn't allow this. Only over Wi-Fi)
 
Yeah it's about blady time...

Still waiting for official MMS app, still waiting for official Copy/Paste - and um yeah that all I have on my list for ow :D

Posted new thread in Swirly forum regarding not been able to receive MMS from MTN. Hopefully Mat and Tommy will respond to it asap and fix the bug.

This is really cool! ;) I wonder how well it would work on EDGE? Stupid Apple SDK....

All sorted - anyone got the receiving of MMS's from MTN sorted out yet? It hangs on the fetch screen and you need to kill it eventually. Can sent to MTN but cannot receive - using VC sim. VC working fine sending and receiving

I use it very often.. Well not so much since fw2 was released...

None of my friends have email on their phones, lol - it's too complicated for them...
 
Haha! We should everyone we know to spam them!

I've done my duty, not it's everyone else's turn on this forum and all the other iPhone forums that exist...

I was thinking, maybe Swirly is part of Apple and are making $$ off SwirlyMMS... :D
