It has to be 40 seconds short and renamed to .m4r, someone posted a windows application that creates them for you but you can use iTunes or garageband on OSX.

iTunes will add them to the "Ringtones' section ready to be synced to the iPhone.
 
Anyone got a link for the keyboard autocorrect disable? The one under Installer does not return a download

EDIT: Never mind, I got sorted.

Go to Cydia and search for "CToggle". There's also a plugin to add it to BossPrefs if you have that installed ;)

Alternatively, you can download "Autocorrect Toggle" from the iClarified source

I would prefer the BossPrefs plugin - where does one get those?

Can't seem to find plugins for bossprefs under Cydia

You can also try http://audiko.net they have a lot of popular songs allready converted that you can just download.
 
Not sure if everyone knows, but a nice way to download youtube videos for iphone / ipod - google freeyoutubetoipodconverter. You just copy and paste the url and it downloads it.

And as fxit (i think) mentioned, Videora to convert videos in different formats.

If you mean use is iPhone as a remote for iTunes, yes, download Remote free in AppStore.

If you mean play his iTunes music library on his iPhone, download Simplify.

Hi Guys,

I have just successfully jailbroken my phone and now has Cydia and the installer icons.

The two things I am wanting to do are have an mms functionality for this I'm told swirlymms is the best app.

The other functionality I am looking for is the ability to delete individual sms's, save messages onto my computer (for blackmail purposes :) j/k) and to be able to forward individual sms's.

I was recommended bite sms however I alrady have a sms bundle through my sp, so I am only looking for the functionality and not the cheaper sms options.

Also if anyone has some rudimentary instructions on how to install these apps now that the phone is jailbroken, I would appreciate any help.

Just call me noob.

I have found that you can make ringtones out of your songs already in iTunes, alas, you can only use the first 30 seconds of the song...

It's a bit of a lengthy process to do it this way:

1. In iTunes, right-click the song you want, go to 'Get Info' and change the start and end points so it's 30 seconds in length.
2. Right-click the song again, 'convert selection to AAC'.
3. Find this new file or drag it from iTunes to your desktop.
4. Rename the file extension from .m4a to .m4r. (the space before the extension is important)
5. Import it back into iTunes and it will appear as a ringtone. Tada!
