I wanted to, no one is sure whether that's the exact final release. I knew I'd install the "final" one anyway so obsessing about 3.0 GM was a waste of time, would've had to do everything twice in one week, plus most of my apps are...err..."unofficial" ipa's that I can't use without jailbreaking and replacing that mobileinstallation file (and the iPhone Dev Team announcement says they're hot on the heels of 3.0, so an immediate update today is warranted - http://blog.iphone-dev.org/)...

this gives us a clue. its 8pm in AUS, so it will be at least another 4 hours till the firmware is released.
