My MMS's work like a charm - no problem here; sent about 20 and received a bunch too.

Using the settings posted in this post btw.

Well after adding the suggested settings:
Vodacom
MMSC: mmsc.vodacom4me.co.za
Proxy: 196.006.128.013:8080
APN: mms.vodacom.net

My MMS seems to go through, showing a status bar, but get stuck at about 95%

I called Vodacom and their iPhone "support" told me that MMS does not work in SA yet

I am using a 3G unjailbroken phone .... am I missing something?

Try experimenting with different image sizes if you're trying to send images. I tried sending a decent sized pic and I had the same experience as you, but switching to something smaller went through fine.

Damn that terminator demo looks awesome  can't beleive the iPhone2g is capable of it, also the motocross came looks decent as well.
Developers are getting better at iPhone gaming.

hey guys

quick question seeing os 3.0 is released now.
i am still on OS 2.1 with iphone 3g.
i have downloaded the OS 3.0 software directly to my mac.

but will it be fine if i upgrade?
my modem firmware is 02.11.07 and my bootloader is 05.09. i couldn't use yellowsn0w before cos of my bootloader. i am using a turbosim for now.

so just asking if i update to 3.0, then when the jailbreak is released to use ultrasn0w to unlock. will that work?

Woohoo!!!!!!

We will be releasing the Jailbreak in about 2 hours over twitter.

Thanks"

Yes I have to say, MTN does not even release the iphone or support it on its network, but they already have all the requirements in place, MMS works like a charm, and even got tethering to work last night, but wont bet my life on it working all the time, will rather use pdanet till its more stable

I've got a problem...

When I still had a jailbroken 3G 2.2.1 phone I used SBsettings to hide some icons...

Like my camera....(used snapture)

Now after updating to OS 3.0 I've got no camera anymore :(

Anyone help please?

Thats the problem, when you hide things, via SBSetting or categories, you need to make them all visible again and backup your phone before you upgrade.

The com.apple.springboard file does not have the icon, because you removed it, so when you backup your phone, that file also gets backed up.

The only way to fix it, is by re-installing SBSettings, and unhide it, or delete the com.apple.springboard file, but for that you need your phone to be jailbroken. So just wait a couple of hours, install the jailbreak and then SBSettings, and then you can unhide it again (its not gone, its just not visible on springboard)

No problem, happened to me the first time I did an upgrade, scared the living bejeezus out of myself

But I also need to jailbreak, I need my SBSetting fix

There is a way of getting it back again - read it last night - w/o jailbreaking - let me see if I can find it again...

Go to settings, restrictions - turn on, enter password and see if camera is 'on' - if not turn it 'on' if it is on - turn off exit and go back in and turn on again. Have'nt tried it so don't know if it works...
