I am guessing this is just a blank .ipcc that enables those options in the Settings. I remember playing around with the values in the old ipcc, settings values from '0' to '1' used to enable MMS in the Cellular Data tab...

It probably is, the download is something like 60k, it is very small. But on the other hand, I would think Apple would make it a bit more 'Difficult' to enable MMS on a 2g than just the IPCC files if they REALLY REALLY didn't want us using MMS?

Guys quick question on itunes 8.2 and when I click the IPA it says it is not a valid app??

IPA could be corrupt, especially if download failed and you just resume it. Even with download accelerators, it still happens, best bet is if a file downloads 100% without interruptions

Yeah it did, I have a few apps and the same thing with all.
I double click the IPA and it comes up with that error on all of them

Says it could not be added to the Itunes Library as it is not a valid app

I use a cracked version, and before you flame me, there's no way in hell I'd buy an $80+ app before trying, my verdict so far: The app works well, but I won't pay that much for it... I'd hold out for some competition first and then see what's the best bet.

How much data does it use?

I did exactly that, if you don't reboot, the camera icon is not visible. But the app has no front end, it just enables the MMS for you. It is also integrated into BiteSMS, also no luck. I uninstalled Swirly (borrowed version) before installing the hack, so there is no conflicts, especially in receiving MMS, but no luck.
Who else has a 2G that can help me test, maybe I'm missing something
I can confirm that it didnt screw up anything on my phone (yet :D), but basically enables you only to add MMS in settings ->network ->cellular data network, and once rebooted, camera icon is visible

Works for me! Send and Receive
I entered the MMS settings for Vodacom found in the OP of the thread, I then rebooted (switch phone off then on)

It works beautifully, I have the camera icon next to "send" and can browse my gallery and also have the option to send. :D

Hoping for tether for 2G :D

Only tested on the vodacom network though.

would be nice if redsnow could load the MMS package now, have an "enable MMS setting", gonna send the request to dev team.

mmm... i think i found my problem...
i enter the settings, once i exit the settings app, and go back in, APN is blank. MMSC and proxy fields retain their values.
I'm also on Vodacom.
Now where do I start looking for this problem.....

Mine are blank too, just the MMSC and proxy settings show.

MMS still works for me though, maybe use the back button after entering the settings.

lol this tiny package has killed off swirly and bite for me.

I did use the back button until i got to main settings screen, then home. Still no luck...
But if it works in Bite, i think i still Prefer bite over stock SMS.
Maybe I should try it at home as well... maybe signal is better there or something...

Apply the most recent ipcc from marcforrest, that will configure mms settings for you
