i'm on mtn, haven't tried it with 3g, but like i said just tried it for the kicks, won't use it all the time
If I'm not mistaken, it's working pretty well on MTN. Just us Vodacom people that are struggling with MMS on 3G

Can someone please point me where i can download Sygic SA Maps, I have Greece Maps installed
I just bought IM+ for $4.99 - price dropped from $9.99 again (price valid until next release anyways).
I'm actually a BeeJive user but thought I'd give IM+ a try - heard a lot of good things
What do you guys prefer - BeeJive or IM+?
IM+
supports skype and twitter (pushes twitter DM's)
BeeJive doesn't....
True that - one of the reasons I downloaded it
How about the "feel" of the app and the stability? Not sure if you've used both though...
For those of you that use SSH often and need to access the directory of your applications, I would recommend using AppLinks from Cydia.
i.e Your app directory looks like this:
/private/var/mobile/Applications/0EC6FB3D-57D8-474B-B3AF-2D34F5A53F11
With AppLinks it changed it to:
/private/var/mobile/AppLinks/Bloomberg.app
Just saves you some time going thru all those coded folders![]()
Anyone else notice when in a contact, you tap on 'Text Message' it doesn't open Messages.app with that person you selected it to open. Instead it opens Messages.app where you last quit it... Hope this get's fixed in 3.1.

Mine also works correctly
I have biteSMS installed but it's not set as default app. Don't you guys have bite installed?
No, did not bother after upgrading to 3.0 - I had iRealSMS anyway.

You need to go to Settings -> General -> Network -> Cellular Data Network
Scroll down to MMS.
Now enter your network's settings. Assuming you're using Vodacom, enter this -
APN: mms.vodacom.net
MMSC: mmsc.vodacom4me.co.za
MMS Proxy: 196.006.128.013:8080
You can leave the other fields blank.
You should now turn your phone off and on for the settings to stick. There should now be a camera next to the text box in your messages
There has been a lot of "challenges" regarding the MMS though. On Vodacom it seems to only work over GPRS and not over 3G. Hopefully this will be sorted by the time Vodacom "officially" starts supporting MMS with the next firmware upgrade. MTN seems to be fine though.
Test it out and let us know...
Forgot to mention I have a 2g.
But it turns out there is an app in Cydia, called ActivateMMS2G.
Tried it, and all working perfectly. iPhone on CellC.
Thx for the help!
