it's not the jailbreak, the jailbreak is fine

but

the developers of cydia apps get the jailbreak the same time the users do, so they still have to get their apps/mods/add on's compatible

a sure way to avoid issues, don't go installing hectic sprinboard/mobile substrate extensions right away (these include iblacklist, sbsettings, winterboard, yourtube, safari download manager, 3gunrestrictor) all the lovely "we are convincing the OS it's doing something else" mods, because the OS isn't quite what you think it is anymore... c'mon guys, surely this makes sense to more than just me?

Yeah, that's what I meant, compatibility.
 
anyone notice on 3.1 you can no longer "continue search on server" for your gmail account?

oh, never mind, it's only gone when it feels like it apparently

I was thinking the same thing SBSettings had issues last time too but was fixed in a few hours..

yeah, i know, but i trust the intelligence of the guys on here... lol

want to know if i need to get a usa/europe account to buy games off the psn store or if i can do it with an SA account... ps3 slim arriving tomorrow and i want wipeout :)

You can do it with an SA account!... but then USA store is "bigger and better" than the SA store so you should maybe make 2 accounts.. one SA and one USA! They are free so dont worry.
I do this and it works great:

WRT payment, The SA store allows you to put in your CC details. For the USA one you need to buy "PSN cards". ebay have them and so do evogames.co.za

anything else you want to know?

Is there any disadvantage in having only the USA account?
 
Back on topic...........

My jailbreak was successful. New version of MobileSubstrate released 5 hours ago works fine now. I just installed SBSettings - power buttons still don't work. For some reason I don't have carrier logos and cannot load up my own ones using a SSH. Otherwise everything else is running 100%.

I noticed my boot time was quicker than 3.0.

lol.. I know its emailed.. might even be automated so you get within 5 minutes!

BACK ON TOPIC: I hope they get the Windows 3GS Jailbreak soon... it is inevitable to be done by next week! And how come the first jailbreaks go to Mac? cant it be done on Windows or am I missing something? I know the pwnage tool is only for Mac but cant they make one for Windows?

Its an agreement with Apple, Mac = Apple = iPhone :rolleyes:
