thanks roland! great to hear!!! cant wait to get it :) can finally have nav in my car now haha! we need to find a good car mount now guys!

Nice one FX, bring in a couple more...

Haha thing is customs are getting stricter! Sure it could be done though!

How much would people be willing to pay here for a 32GB 3GS (assuming that i understood the sms correctly and that they are 32GB's)

The Moshi iGlaze, Puro and Concerti were supposed to be in stores this week but its been delayed 2 weeks to let the RAGE heat cool off..

So if you can wait 2 weeks.. the awesome Moshi stuff will be around.

do you import them or something? because I dont see a reason to get tooo excited about them unless there is osmething I am missing? they look pretty plain if you ask me:erm:

Confirmed they are factory unlocked and 32GB 3GS :) woop!!

So a 32Gb 3GS for +-R7000 that's +-R2000 what I can get them for :( My brother works in Dubai and is out again in Feb, maybe I should ask him to pick me up 1 or 2 of them ;)

On which review does it state that for south africa? So far I have not had a problem, and they officially state that Version 1.2.0 has the latest navteq map material.

But I'll probably only realize this when I drive of a cliff somewhere that is of course not clearly marked on the map

I purchased the software, and I'm one of the people who complained.

For starters, the road I live in (in Broadacres), and has been there for a few years, is not on the map.

For seconds, the road where my other house is (Randpark Ridge), is not on the maps, and that road has been there for about 12yrs, if not longer.

Suprisingly, they do tend to have the new road names.

My other gripe is that the GPS lock is not brilliant, and it's definately the app because google maps works flawlessly.

Other than that, on my 3GS, it works quite well, and gives turning directions early enough and I have yet to miss a turning because of a late command.

Apparently on the 3G it's a little sluggish, but I cannot confirm that

This looks very interesting...or should i say promising..if someone understands Chinese of course

Well decided to be my own guinea pig and its working like a charm. When my 3g boots up (with lockinfo, winterboard and a ton of other apps), the memory shows about 50m open.

I've now backgrounded about 9 apps, and there is no slow down (although free memory does not work so "lekker" anymore).

Some of the folks in the thread show 178mb free on a 3GS, damn hogs, you already have a 3GS, how much memory do you want??!!

Think the guy that was suppose to map your area took an early friday lunch, with me, I live in a street in wierda park, that is spelled wrong on every map, including google maps, and on navigon is correct, but unfortunately one cannot know until you have purchased the app.

I have a 3G and yip it is sluggish in starting up, takes a big bite out of memory, but after that its fine.

You mean they are R9000 here? Or you can get them for around R2000? Sorry dont quite understand your post.

But yeah, very good price imo considering they are factory unlocked + 32GB!

Just good quality.. that's all

Aside from that.. my 3G has been giving me issues the last 3 days.. keeps freezing.. only new app installed is iFish..

Freezes.. non-responsive black screen.. I put the phone down.. come back 2 or 3 mins later and its all back to normal and working again..

No Cydia apps updated/installed?

Interesting that - the Tomtom has no slow or perfomance issues on my 3g. Still prefer the Garmin though - although it is handy if you need to go somewhere and the Garmin is in the other car.

That's cause I was referring to navigon, that takes awhile opening up, but it is quick in finding a satellite a lot faster than the sygic

i'll pay you 2k above what you pay for them, as long as that is the same as or below vodacom's 10 k, i'll definitely take one, can transfer cash today from either nedbank or absa

I bought myself one of those "cheapy" car mounts, they sell next to the traffic lights, took the smallest one so its less obtrusive, and positioned it above an air vent, so when I am using the gps and the phone starts to get a tad hot, I just turn on the air con to give it a blast of cold air

Had my iPhone for about a year now - mine has done this probably about 5 times already - just tend to do a reset then...
