SKYPE on Iphone

The FCC in the USA has announced that At&t will have to allow SKYPE over there 3G network :D (Soldier knows best on YOUTUBE). I am wondering if this will affect us here in good ol SA. I would love to use SKYPE on my iPhone data bundles are far cheaper than the call rates. The decision does not affect Google voice as yet, Apple says that Google voice duplicates functionality of the iPhone but we hope that this too will be changed soon.

Thanks, thought so and went ahead with it anyways..

How are you guys protecting your 3GS? Especially with this plastic back (black), don't wanna scratch it.

Any nice slim covers you guys can recommend? Or those protective films for front and back? I've got a film for the front but want to protect the back.

Thanks
For now I gone el cheapo, body glove at R100 odd and a screen protector for R50, cannot remember the brand. Works fine!! Touch wood to date neither I nor my baby daughter have dropped our precious...

Thing is, it's more a question of when then if..

With that in mind I'm contemplating this...

Uber cool pouches available from this site but a bit pricey...

A lot of people are using the SPECK Candy Shell case, I have one on mine and one on my wife's. I still have my wifes old SPECK Pixel cover (bright pink) and another cover, black rubber, smooth finish with red home gell button (can't rmbr the make) I did post somewhere back in this thread about it. But currently were very happy with our SPECK cases :)

wow those cases are cool from that site! Don't want something bulky at all. Something as thin as possible really, just to prevent surface scratches.

Cases are cool if I find one with a cool design like those, but if not I might go with InvisibleShield.

my mates have the speck candy cases and to be honest I don't see the real craze.

It's hard to push the power/sleep button because if the rubber bit, and even though the case is a lot less bulky than others, it still feels rather big and bulky in my hand with the case on.

When new yes, the power button was a bit stiff, but after a couple of JB's and a few weeks it "wears" in nicely :)

I've used invisible shields on all my phones. As far as scratch protection is concerned you cannot get better protection but drop the phone and I'm not sure it's all that effective.

I would use invisible shield in conjunction with a leather/plastic pouch...

it looks as if 3.1.2 solves my charge issues! (i couldn't charge my 3Gs in the dension car dock, restored my sister's 3gs to 3.1.2 and it charges fine in the car... hoping mine will too, but only updating when jailbreak's avail)

Ok so my iPhone is having a gasm the length of a pig..

Won't stop vibrating.. Started randomly. Rebooted, reset all settings. Seems like a hardware fault as it starts vibrating before the OS is even loaded :(

I'm thinking the silent mode switch as when I play with this it stops/comes back.

It's stopped for now.. But this isn't good.. :(
