I got them from the itunes store south africa. And theres no downside? So i can get games from the US store and sync them to my SA iphone and everything wil work? And can i then access the US store from iphone ?

yes, just go to settings on the iPhone - log out the SA store and log into the US store.

I'm looking for an app that can monitor internet traffic on the iphone, show what apps are connected and any kind of netwrok activity on the phone.

Is it doable? Should I upgrade to latest firmware or not? Then can I use Blackrain?

I would appreciate some pointers.

Am I missing something but I cannot get iBooks for the iPhone - on the apple iPhone page it says you must d/load it for the iPhone but I only get it for the iPad??

Thanks for the most valuable info in this thread. Curiosity got the best of me upgraded my iPhone 3GS to OS4 GM. Must say that it's really nice. Just one thing lost my Jailbreak which I obviously new now how do I jailbreak the OS 4 now. Excuse me I'm a total newbie, I used iTunes 9.2 Beta with OS 4 GM. Tried using Spirit\redsn0w 09.5b5 but can seem to get cydia on the device. I would greatly appreciate any guidance.

I'll upload my custom firmware I made with working Cydia and jailbroken to mediafire. It's for 3GS Factory Unlocked. Will post link when its done then just restore to it in iTunes.

EDIT: Ok it's taking forever.. Just use one of these from xsellzie - http://xsellize.com/topic/69176-custom-3gs-40-gm-40-activated-unactivated/. You'll want the NOT-ACTIVATED if you are factory unlocked.

Think iBooks will only be available on iOS4. I have the iOS4 GM on my 3G but also can't find the iBooks app. Think they'll only launch it next week when iOS4 if officially out...
