I agree killa, but I'm specifically referring to United's performances once they concede first. They started so well, then conceded, then played crap footy for an hour and tried to work miracles in the last few minutes. Yeah we missed lots of chances and one could see it was going to be one of those days where nothing goes in, but I think we need to show more spirit and determination when conceding first. The ref was poor. We should've had a penalty. That guy clearly used his arm to clear the ball off the line. Plus their keeper(Keller?) had an absolutely superb game. He really did save them.

It was rad brad friedel. He really is a good keeper.
 
no the difference is united have signed him

unless they sell him or loan him they own him :)

chelsea their african football players or atleast mourinho did

Haha - we never know with them.

Back on the Brown issue, United would be best to find a long term replacement to Neville, if they want the same attacking oppurtunities as they have with Evra. Even Silvestre is a better attacking defender than Brown. (still Brown gets my vote because of United having the best def record this season.)

Are United totally happy with the goal keeper scenario? Does Van der Sar have one more season in him?

Indeed. I am no big fan of Mikael, but he is better than Brown IMO.

Van der Sar has done what he has had to do when he has had to...but ya, one more season might be pushing it...
 
i dont think so

van der sar has saved us on many occations and i dont see why he cannot play for another 2 seasons provided he keeps his good form and fitness

he is still one of the best in the game and very rarely do you land up thinking someone else would have done better

Wes Brown is not even worth debating. when i hear WB, i get depressed and angry ... and Silvestre is 100x better than WB although his time is up now. He still produces those swinging crosses at times, brilliant !

As for VDS, i agree with Killa, i think he can stay first choice for at least one more season, but i would love to see Foster get more games, he reminds me of Schmeicel.

It is true. For me, Foster is better than Kuszcak...

Yeah, that's the one. I don't know why I thought of KC Keller. Perhaps cos he's American too?

Goalkeepers can generally play for a long time, cos they don't run around the pitch, but stay within a small box, so he can play for a while still.

I agree. I don't like Kuszcak at all. He cannot even kick the ball out under pressure. He looks amateurish. Foster is excellent.
