Well I agree with you, it will be known as "The State of Israel". People will forget the 'terrorist' bit. In fact I don't think I remember it being internationally known as such ever, see it's already happened.

which kinda makes sense since Israel has not existed as a nation for nearly 1900 years.

Proof please? no documentation outside of Judaism at that time has records of such a state existing.

Um, if you go into Jerusalem you will find this big building complex called the temple mount.... and there you will find a bunch of Jewish people praying at the Western Wall.... exactly where their forefathers prayed 2000 years ago.

It's kind hard to deny the existence of a building which probably weighed several hundred thousand tons.

And everyone has heard of the Egyptians.... they were the ones with the big pointy buildings known as the pyramids.... also kinda hard to miss.

Well... surprise surprise but Solomon may never have existed(myth) and the original temple may have been built by a another civilization not Jews.

Yasser Arafat diverted nearly $1 billion in public funds to insure his political survival, but a lot more is unaccounted for.

Jim Prince and a team of American accountants - hired by Arafat's own finance ministry - are combing through Arafat's books. Given what they've already uncovered, Arafat may be rethinking the decision. Lesley Stahl reports.

"What is Mr. Arafat and the Palestinian Authority worth today?" asks accountant Jim Prince. "Who is controlling that money? Where is that money? How do we get it back?"

So far, Prince's team has determined that part of the Palestinian leader's wealth was in a secret portfolio worth close to $1 billion -- with investments in companies like a Coca-Cola bottling plant in Ramallah, a Tunisian cell phone company and venture capital funds in the U.S. and the Cayman Islands.

Although the money for the portfolio came from public funds like Palestinian taxes, virtually none of it was used for the Palestinian people; it was all controlled by Arafat. And, Prince says, none of these dealings were made public.

The Palestinian prime minister, Ahmed Qureia, yesterday called on Yasser Arafat to put the people before his own interests amid a growing challenge to the Palestinian leader over corruption and cronyism.
In unusually direct criticism of Mr Arafat from within the Palestinian government, Mr Qureia said he had not withdrawn the resignation letter he submitted at the weekend during a spate of kidnappings, violence and protests in the Gaza strip over high-level corruption and Mr Arafat's appointment of a close relative to a top security job.

The prime minister said that Mr Arafat, who is popularly known as Abu Amr, should recognise that "Palestinian citizens are in deep need".

"Enough, enough," he said. "Put the people's interest first. ... Oh brother Abu Amr, it is time to put the right person in the right place."

The appointment drew thousands of people on to the streets of Gaza to protest against corruption within the Palestinian Authority, and led to attacks by al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade on forces loyal to Moussa Arafat in southern Gaza. About 20 people were wounded in the fighting.

On Friday, the brigade kidnapped Gaza's police chief, Ghazi Jabali, accused him of stealing millions of dollars, and demanded he be sacked. Mr Arafat dismissed him the next day.

The PLO??? Hmm... let's see.... Yasser Arafat....

Nice guy! Later in his life he backtracked... and was then rejected by the very extremists that he had lead for many years. They are not interested in Peace.

I was referring to the progress made with the Oslo Accords, unfortunately Rabin was assassinated.
