The Middle East Conflict Thread

If there will be firing on residents of the South, there will be a strong Israeli reaction that will be disproportionate," Olmert vowed at the beginning of the weekly Cabinet meeting. "We will not go back to the rules of the game that the terror organizations tried to dictate in the past ... we will act by new rules that will ensure that we won't get dragged into a never-ending shooting along the southern border

I agree, lets end this Sh*t.

There they go firing rockets again ...... they obviously still haven't learned  I suppose the anti-Israel crowd is gonna say that Israel mustn't retaliate huh.

Duh... the rockets are to be expected, those who opposed the first invasion said it won't stop the rockets and now Israel will go in again but it won't stop this time either. Israel's policies need to change, they are not working.

Oh, and Gaza is a Ghetto thanks to actions like this...

PARIS (Reuters) - Israel has blocked attempts to get a water purification station into Gaza and the equipment must now be brought back to France, the French Foreign Ministry said on Friday.

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Eric Chevallier said France had complained to Israel about its refusal to let in the equipment and had still not received a satisfactory explanation.

"An important amount of aid was let in (to Gaza), but for reasons which we have difficulty to explain, the water purification could not enter," he told a news conference.

"We have decided to repatriate it."

Chevallier said the equipment was badly needed in Gaza, which is reeling from a 22-day Israeli offensive. Officials had hoped to transport it across the Israel-Gaza border last Sunday but were denied access.

France summoned Israel's ambassador to complain after French diplomats were blocked for hours on the Jewish state's border with the Gaza Strip.

Chevallier said the fate of the water unit was also raised but Israel refused to budge.

"There were a very great number of steps taken at all levels to try to get the water purification station into Gaza," he said.

The Nazi's who were responsible for the Warsaw Ghetto must be impressed.

Please... calling Gaza a ghetto is nothing short of ridiculous, comparing Israel/Gaza to Nazi Germany, the holocaust is good for raising emotions but if you take a realistic look there is absolutely nothing in common

But whatever helps you sleep better at night

Just looking at those pictures, once put into context tells exactly how ludicrous the comparison is

How you can call the bottom set of pictures justification of anything is beyond me. Matter of fact or not, that is nothing more than snuff.

It's rather sad and pathetic desperation. An insult to millions who died at the hands of the Nazi genocide.

You know those bleeding heart hypocrites who protested in the UK.....

But who have never once said anything about the Mumbai attacks or any other radical attacks. Those idiots and others like them.

Firstly they normally over inflate the attendance figures. Secondly a few thousand useful idiots from a few countries( with populations of tens of millions) hardly qualifies as an international outcry lol

Well, you know what I mean... all those whiners in the news. I'm pretty sure Israel ignored them anyway... I'm just saying... go ahead regardless and get rid of those Hamas scumbags.

And it's always reported as "UK protest" whereas it's not brit's protesting but a bunch of illegal immigrants, most of whom are also abusing/exploiting the benefits system.

Israel don't give a **** about them don't worry. ;)

Well, this sounds like crap:

There’s just one problem. Israeli forces had already violated the ceasefire at least seven times:

* Israeli forces killed a Palestinian farmer in Khuza'a east of Khan Yunis on Jan 18
* Israeli forces killed a Palestinian farmer east of Jabalia on Jan. 19
* Israeli naval gunboats shelled the Gaza coastline, causing damage to civilian structures
* Israeli troops shot and injured a child east of Gaza City on Jan 22
* Israeli gunboat fire injured 4-7 Palestinian fishermen on Jan 22
* Israeli shelling set a Palestinian house on fire on Jan 22
* Israeli tanks fired on the border town of Al Faraheen, causing damage to homes and farms on Jan 24

Shelling completely flattens a house - it doesn't set it on fire.

I noticed you don't mention any of the aggressive acts which prompted those responses by Israel. Not very fair of you to be so un-objective. Please give the whole story.

Keh?

I wasn't commenting on what started the pooh only that it is odd that whoever claimed these 'attrocities' seems to think that artillery shelling will set a house alight. The house will be flattened - sure it may be burning, but it'll be burning rubble.
