The negativity towards Cool Ideas

Some time ago, few months or so. Must say, the last ticket Iogged to the Accounts department was answered and solved the same day. Well done there, that was a super pleasant experience
We have worked really hard on the new ticket system, but accounts always seem to we the example though.

All the reps need to take lessons in dealing with the public from the Afrihost reps.
I respectfully disagree.

AH is a disreputable company that has time and time again screwed over it's customers by charging for services they are unable to provide.

The reps are helpfull for sure but also provide a lot of lip service and by extension are complicit by covering for their employer.

I have never caught CISP doing anything underhanded and while mistakes are made - they have always manned up and readily admitted when they messed up.

Have you ever got AH to admit they would rather give the client base countless run arounds and tell everyone it's just an isolated incident when their network was broken just so that they could invoice everyone month after month?

AH is *nothing* like CISP!

You got major aggro from our connect team?

Was the information you require not in my response? And you should have been less of an ass than you appear to be which is probably why they confirmed you deserve scorn not loyalty. Me and the rest are not here to answer your questions, or provide information that might help you streamline your business. So sorry you feel that way.

Edit: Yikes! Any reason to swear at the rep? Goodness me...

Did you know that 'goodness me' is just the European version of 'Oh my God!'? Should you even be swearing like that, hmmm?

Jeez...

You need to let go of the anger dude...

So sorry you feel that way.

Is this necessary? This proves my point of this thread ten times over.

The need to attack and swear at someone is ok behaviour, regardless of how you or anyone reads into a response.

What was your point again, Dan? Oh that everybody should stop being so mean to Cool Ideas and besides, Kumbaya is such a catchy tune?

Well Dan.. go read again, and answer me this? Did I make my comments in isolation, or who do you think made snide remarks towards whom first?

Then Dan, pray tell us, with this new insight, are you now going to start a whining thread about 'the negativity towards grok' too?

Honestly didn't think so Dan..

Hello Angelo - is that you?

Who? Close, but no habla Español..

And now I sound like an owl.. branded, from simply asking some innocent questions..

No. Correct and complain to a service provider if they are in the wrong. By all means.

My point, which is totally lost on you, is that people far too quickly turn to swearing or "personally" attacking another person because in their mind it is acceptable behavior and there is no consequences to this behavior. Exactly the problem with society in general. Lets treat another person like trash, because that is how we want to be treated.

I see.

This thread reminds me, what ever happened to the constant stream of Afrihost complaints? Are they being "silenced"?

People just gave up I think, when people complain you know they still have some semblace of care to get a better service. When people don''t complain and just switch providers, the company goes down while thinking everything is fine and have no idea what happened. Constructive criticism is useful, even when people bake them into personal attacks

And my point, which is totally lost on you is that too many times it is the customer that is being treated badly, for merely wanting what he paid for, or that his stupid questions be answered by some person.
Too much to ask?

The other point which is totally lost on le Cool Ideas co-founder, is that I was a potential customer, I made the effort to enquire because Cool Ideas was on my shortlist for consideration as my next ISP.
Not any longer tho, I understand the co-founder's comments that they run their operation differently, but because of this thread and his behavior towards me, I'm turned off Cool Ideas forever.
How's that for driving your customers away In a way that the whole world can see?

And yes.. I swore at him because I've had bad experiences with bombastic narcissists before & IMO he really can (kindly) go **** himself.

That said, I challenge you and anyone to read through my comments above to decide whether I came on here being rude or bashing people for no reason.
Go on, do it, unless you delete this thread it's there for everyone to see.

Yet, upon highlighting my experience in a calm & non-confrontational manner, my concerns were dismissed by the co-founder with a snide comment:

So sorry you feel that way.

Much constructive. Such improvement. Wow.

By your own logic then, the co-founder dismissed me & my concerns like trash, so maybe that was how he expected to be treated in return, no?

Anyway, enough now. I'm not interested in signing up with Cool Ideas any longer, and I'm not keen being drawn into this discussion since I have no skin in this game.
Happy shilling, I'm out..

I guess that's the problem with the internet. I'm not sure that I would consider someone typing "So sorry you feel that way" as snide. Grammatically incorrect, but certainly not snide.

Internet mic drop!

  1. ISP is amazing everyone using them loves them.
  2. Everyone starts joining ISP because they heard the amazing service, response time etc.
  3. Some services aren't put in place that should be to account for number of users.
  4. ISP becomes too big, service becomes questionable, response times get slow.
  5. Some major event happens (DDoS/Cable Breaks etc.)
  6. People lose their minds because the company can't keep up with the amount of tickets being logged. (Me included)
  7. People start leaving ISP. (Me not included)
  8. Everything reaches a happy medium.
  9. People start threads like this, people laugh, people cry.

Repeat.

I find that when I'm frustrated already, their short, sometimes bordering on rude replies make things worse. Perhaps I'm also too sensitive

When I was younger a good friend told me: "Dit is hectic om heel tyd so hectic te wees."
:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

Just what I need for my lunch break. Always so entertaining on the CISP threads. :coffee::popcorn:

Guys, believe me there are isp companies that are far worse than cool ideas, I know about isps that just put up prices without informing clients, or companies that just let you be without a working connection for 2 months without getting back to the client. I've been with cool ideas for 4 or 5 months now, and I don't even mind the extra cash I have to pay now with openserve, or the ddos attacks that happened because they communicated and they tried to help mitigate. Believe me the devils I have known are even worse than telkom

Sounds like CISP dodged a bullet when grok decided not to sign up. Sometimes you gotta fire the customer.
Haaibo! I think they should hire him and put him in charge of the call centre. He would do an excellent job and probably hire his daughter and fire her on the same day.
